  • At the annual ASCA convention, the ASCA Board invited the International Swim League (ISL) leadership team to deliver a presentation on ISL’s concept, philosophy, and future plans. The Business Development Director Artem Nitz, Technical Director Apostolos Tsagkarakis, Senior Advisor Daniel Hoffman, ISL Program Development Director Dmytro Kachurovskyi, and a specially invited media consulting partner from Wasserman Media Group Chris Holmes, requested this valuable opportunity to engage with the widely respected and experienced ASCA Board members.
The ISL Leadership Team reviewed ISL’s innovative competition format and described its near and long-term plans to incorporate ISL into the international swimming calendar. ISL greatly appreciated the productive feedback from the ASCA Board, which will help refine ISL’s strategy going forward.

The biggest question I have about this is training. As it stands now, swimmers set their training schedules so they'll peak at the Olympics or World Championships. How will they maintain peak form through a regular season of events?

Duresport AFAIK, it’s not based on time, but how well you place, and its also likely to happen before or after December training, so right after Winter Nationals and while most people are training short course.

Could we have a video clearly explaining the rules/how points work as the rule document is long and hard to understand for some younger viewers and I’m trying to get some younger people to watch to become inspired?

Swimming itself is rather boring and not spectacular enough to be a mass media project.

there’s less tactical strategy in swimming, and not really any teamwork (i guess there’s synchronised/relay but you get my point). plus football (uk) matches last 90 minutes so there’s much more tension. i enjoy actually swimming more, but if i had to i’d watch football.
