- Is it possible to beat TWO Hardcore Nuzlockes if I'm playing them at the same time? I paired a game of Pokemon Pearl and a game of Pokemon Diamond to one controller, so I'm playing both games simultaneously. Let's see if I can beat both games with Hardcore Nuzlocke rules!

The Hardcore Nuzlocke rules for this challenge:
1. I can only catch the first Pokemon I find in each area.
1b. Duplicates Clause - I cannot catch a Pokemon I already have.
1c. This applies across games, so I cannot catch a Pokemon the other game already has.
1d. Pokemon caught in the same area become linked.
2. If a Pokemon faints, it must be boxed for the rest of the run.
2b. If a Pokemon faints, it's linked counterpart must also be benched for the run.
3. For Gym Battles, must be at the highest Pokemon's level cap at the start of the fight. For the Elite Four, must use Lucian's Bronzong level as the cap.
4. No items in battle.
5. Play on Set Mode.
6. No Legendaries.
7. All actions in battle must be the same across games, including:
- Which PokemonI send out first
- Which move slot I select on the FIGHT screen. Must wait until the other game is caught up before performing another action.
- Switching Pokemon must be done at the same time, and to the same Pokemon
- All Pokemon must hold the same items as their linked counterpart.

Fun idea! Ruby and Sapphire could be interesting. Since the evil teams in those games use different Pokemon, it will force you into situations where you have to learn to deal with inconsistency throughout the run.

the cursed pokefusion sprites were a great touch đ
When the first pair that wasnât the same species happened with Budew and Shinx, I thought heâd just put both sprites in a smaller way with a slash to separate them, I am so glad he decided to do fusions, I was cracking up at every pairâs abomination đ.
I really like the fact that you made fusions when there were not twins, and you made the fusions with the pokemon creator

Also interesting how many identical pairs came out of it. Really gives the impression that all DP Nuzlockes basically have the same team structure anyways. I think it could also be fun (and immensely more difficult) to do the same game with randomized encounters - but with different randomization seeds
I think a lot of it was thanks to the duplicates clause.

Just saddened to see Gastgar died for nothing - While under your rules did indeed disallow your cursed haunter from switching seeing how the other was under Mean Look, the effects of Mean Look only last as long as the pokemon who used it remains in battle. The moment you defeated that misdreavus that put you under Mean Look, that Haunter (and thus Gastgar) was free to switch out and avoid dying to curse :(

You set up all these rules, but then ended up with identical teams anyway. The more interesting (and much more difficult, of course) approach would be to randomise both games with different seeds

That healing range on Lucian's Medicham was crazy unlucky! But congrats for getting so far into the run. I definitely think the run would have been possible if the Medicham was less absolute BS.

I'm 3 minutes in and I'm blown away. Love your content. This is probably the coolest new idea I've seen in a challenge in a LONG time. Or at least since Letter lockes, and playing 12 (+1) games at the same time.
You are extremely innovative, and have a great sense of humor, but also you are extremely well versed in tactics and it all blends perfectly.

I love this content. And of course I'd love to see more variations on it - like a hardcore nuzlocke that ISN'T a soul link would be interesting as well. I'm still hoping for "playing Sapphire and Ruby at the same time with the same controls" post, maybe with a secret additional game that's being played in Emerald.

My favorite twins are the two shiny duskull that spawned in at the exact same time in a Massive Mass Outbreak in Legends. They now have a third long lost brother I caught later on lol.

I typically don't really care about nuzlocke's, but this was an amazing concept. I'd love to see another run with this ruleset, but in pokemon xy or USUM. The reason being that there's more variety in the wild pokemon, and you'll be getting less identical twins (if i'm not mistaken) Regardless, i would love to see more like this. Subbed

I was honestly expecting you to do some trade evos since you had 2 games would've been fun to see even if its just manually editing the files to have them evolve since you can't actually trade but otherwise fun to watch you make such great content :)

My favorite twin is my middle school girlfriend, scratch that my middle school best friend, scratch that my middle school locker partner. This was three separate sets of twins and they were the people I was closest to in middle school.
