Ru's performance at MardiGras was, let's just say, underwhelming. Refusing to work with the dancers, who were all community volunteers as well, was a mistake, they got bigger applause than she did.
She's a narcissistic diva queen, apparently! Her little frail narcissistic ego couldn't bare the possibility somebody else next to her could have outshine her on the stage.
Ru is a genuinely horrible person. Find the riders, and understand to how crippling it is to work for Ru. Let a bitch collect unemployment!

Now that drag race is more inclusive these days i find it strange ru can't bury the hatchet. Courtney wasn't wrong so it'd be really big of her to unblock her.

FYI I saw Ru perform a half hour set singing live IN A STRAIGHT CLUB (she probably didn't know it was organised there but a lot of gays came along to see her there) the night before Mardi Gras and she totally killed it! I heard bad reports about her gig at Mardi Gras the next night and was so thankful I'd gone the night before ❤
Darriene actually got a message from the family at the season 6 reunion/crowning episode. But it was strange to me as well that Courtney never got one of those.
They were both "villains" so that might've had something to do with it. Not very fair to them though, they aren't actual villains lol

Hummm, you’re not telling me anything I didn’t already know Darlin. I lived in Phoenix, and was at the time, Miss Gay Pride 99/00 . The year of my step down, Ru was supposed to perform. Imagine selling front row seats at $50 a pop. We had pre-sale tickets for her show. Ru came to do her sound check and had her limo drive right up to the stage (which was on a grass hill) and she told the guy in charge (who happens to be my lover) she wasn’t going to step on the grass with her heals on. She demanded the boards be placed down. So the next day when she was supposed to perform, our event was interrupted by what people call a dust devil. A big wind storm.
And Ru didn’t want to wait until after the storm to perform. We had angry people at the gates yelling where’s RuPaul? Some of the volunteers and board members told them some hotel. But it wasn’t the real hotel. I’ve heard from other Pride groups that she was nasty to work with etc… For me, with everything I’ve heard from the tea and shade, looks like everything’s a sham. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve forgotten where you’ve come from. From forgetting names of your past winners, to, nothing matters to me unless that cameras rolling. Just goes to back up your block statement. You look radiant as ever! Wishing you good health, happiness and love!
I was there for that Mardi Gras and you could tell that Ru was pissed off! I recall her saying, "Don't come the raw prawn with me!!" as she was leaving the stage... which admittedly, she got the prawn bit right for us (not shrimp) but no one says that here.
We once had an American woman come sing at our Pride festival and she sang the American national anthem, as we have our Pride in early July, but as Canadians we were really perplexed and kind of offended

That would have been so much better than RuPaul, Courtney would have actually gotten the references… but RuPaul blocked her on Twitter and she doesn’t seem to have a good relationship with the production company so it won’t happen unfortunately

Courtney's treatment on season 6's finale was so so disgusting and diminishing, it really felt like ruple was threatened and just wanted to diminish her work as a last resort. she knew Courtney never needed drag race, and honestly im pleased with the fact that Courtney has made a career before and after.
She clearly benefitted from being on drag race, and its part of her succes.

Drag race season 6 was great show. I really enjoyed all the drama and contestants. I got to know her from rupaul’S drag race.

It was about the "She-mail" controversy. The term got brought up as being problematic, the network ditched it, Ru kept on having a tantrum about it for awhile. Courtney attempted to explain it but Ru doesn't like it when people aren't groveling at his feet (see Willam for another example)

Girl why is it I have my TV turned up all the way to 100 and yet I can still barely hear what she's saying so much so that when a commercial comes on it blasts so loudly the neighbors probably here but yeah and she comes back on it's almost a whisper? Like even with headphones from all the way up and definitely not with my phone's normal speakers was I not able to hear Courtney at all hardly and there's no closed caption so I have to basically glue my ear to the television speaker and still aren't 100% sure I know what she said. I love ASMR, but only when I wanna crash... not when I'm trying to feed my insatiable hunger for drag race gossip..
