To me, Raja’s “ugly cry” represents the last genuine reaction to winning the crown, it’s such a beautiful moment.
Didn't Tyra have a literal panic attack?
Nowadays it’s all staged. In fact I think Season 3 was the last time the winning queen found out they won on the main stage during filming - now they just film all the top queens winning and cut in the winner.
I think Trixie’s win on Allstars was actually pretty genuine
@@cami1610 Nah, she kind of let it slip on UNHhhh that it was staged. Trixie is just a good actress.
@@pixiestxNyomouf Tyra Sanchez won before raja
I really appreciate that newer drag race fans are really connecting to Raja as a result of All Stars 7.
💯💗
I actually just got done with season 3 and screamed when Raja one, I adore her
@@mysticalb1tch At the time a lot of people felt it was Rigga Morris because Raja was already an industry eye-con, and her win was spoiled. She’s now proving even more how deserved her original win was.
Seeing Raja enjoying AS7 is a joy for me!!!! She's there but she's not so serious and having fun!!!
I've really been going through some things, so when she did her "viral video dance" for AW1, I actually wept because I really felt like for a second someone cared about me enough to check in with how I felt and it was Queen Raja. It was so silly, but really beautiful and what I needed in that moment. I started watching RPDR in 2016 and Raja has always been one of my favourites. I'm 100% team Raja for AW1.
Oh, what a soft-spoken person she is! Could literally listen to her for hours. And also, there is a lot of wisdom in everything she's talking about. I love that combination
Her video series "Raja Drawja" is lovely. She just draws and talks soothingly. ❤
You should listen to her podcast "Very That" with Delta. It's great!
She has a podcast weekly call “very that” Soooo much fun to listen to
Listen to the podcast being mentioned here! It’s very enjoyable!
We need a Drag Queens Read You to Sleep book. They can throw in the occasional insult while they read.
I remember being 12 and searching for “drag racing” trying to find nascar but ended up finding the premiere of her season, and I’m so thankful I did 🥹 10+ years later seeing her again on my tv, such a full circle and re-inspiring moment.
LOl that's funny
this is such a wholesome comment
And I've had the opposite happen. I was looking for RPDR and all I got was a bunch of sports cars.
Awesome! I like Both kinds of Drag Races too…lol
I’m 60 & 10 yrs ago I wouldn’t of thought I would be watching more Drag Queens Race. Hmmm, I wonder how the ‘energy’ would be w/ the sound NASCAR Drag race with some of the Queens Drag race? 😂
LMAO, yup. That's how I found RPDR for the first time around the same age
she's a legend, she's an eye-con and she is the moment. cmon NOW.
Amen!!!
AMEN
“The moment” bit…can we stop saying this already.
👑 they marmalade jelly
Sorry but I hate when people forget the other "NOW" lol 👎
"She didn't abbreviate" 😂 the editors are so good
I was cackling😂
And we don't want her to ever! We just want her to say that she's going to and then do whatever she feels like doing with perfection 🤣🙌
She a Gemini... we don't
@@ketamine4757 yesss her last name is literally Gemini lol
That part KILLED ME
Everybody say "thank you" to Raja, Drag Race became a high fashion runway because of her, she walked so queens everyone loves today could run.
Facts facts facts. Raja is a trailblazer, she doesn’t care and is so authentically herself.
I love what Bob the Drag Queen says about her 'other girls use references, Raja is the reference' she's so beyond anything else. Her laser dress in the 'All Glowed Up' runway... Masterpiece
Ugh I love Raja so much. She’s a legend. She deserves so much success.
I complete agree
but that gray hair gots to go
@@rondaallen7211 why? There’s nothing wrong with aging, it’s a privilege, in my opinion
@@bunnyfrosting1744 oh. is that her real hair? i thought it was drag!
@@rondaallen7211 I mean compliments to Raja. Woman in her 50s and grey hair on her just looks like she dyed it.
everything she says is so wise. can tell she really enjoys and cares about what she does as an artist. she’s such an inspiration to me, i look up to her so much. i’ll be just like you raja i swear
It's because she was raised by Old School Queens who taught her respect, manners and history. She learned to reverant... her thought process is a beautiful as she is. This didn't show in her regular season. I'm glad I got to see and hear this part of Sutan.
That’s such a beautiful thought turned affirmation to add to my list. “I am high fierceness. I am art. I am a Raja.”
honestly she could start her own 'religion' and i'd join. i love her earth mother presence. i'm her age, so i don't see her as 'old'. i do see her as wise though.
Raja means SO MUCH to me, representing for the brown asian kids and being such an icon. We simply have to stan!
yawn
@@leoxxxx9276 go nap girl
It's even weird to see Raja competing, she's so beyond, so professional, she already has proved herself as an unique artist to be one of the official and permanent judges along with Ru and MIchelle and to have a program of her own (as she already greatly did). I adored her in her season, love her now and ever!
She's so freaking talented it's hard believe one person can be so artistically gifted 💕
@@kimkoh3094 I know!!!
No, Raja your cry was NOT ugly. That’s pretty much impossible. You are one of the most gorgeous people I’ve ever seen. Then and now, in and out of drag - you’re a stunner! Moreover your personality and energy is just as beautiful. You are loved by so many 🥰
Exactly!! And there’s no such thing as an ugly cry- we are all humans and showing emotion and crying is never ugly ♥️
There’s no way anyone thought her cry was ugly. Just goes to show that everyone is their own harshest critic.
Raja lacks the ability to look bad in any way, shape or form.
The last genuine cry; she didn’t have to act for a take like the queens starting season 4.
Nobody ever talks about what an absolutely stunning creature Raja is out of drag. They're GORGEOUS.
DEFINITELY
Nobody? Really? I think you can find comments in each Raja's video (where you can see her out of drag) where people finding Sutan attractive.
Okay. I know I'm just being pedantic over exaggerated experssion and I hate myself for that.
No, I think that's what pretty much everyone is talking about.
“She did not abbreviate” - the shade lol. Raja describing her experience on the Simpsons is so pure 💜
Raja SHOULD have been in the top two for her Snatch game. Legendary, just like her.
Absolutely fabulous!
Yes!!!
Agreed. Trinity was good, but she was playing the same character twice.
I have been saying “PURPLE MITTENS!” way too often since then. Raja was so good. Trinity was great, too, but I loved Raja so much.
Raja should have won the ball challenge too
Just one of the most exquisite creatures to ever walk this earth. Cannot get enough of her.
Perfect word: exquisite.
I’ve been going to her shows since ….. back when she was baby drag queen .. in the early 90s she looked like a supermodel . Everybody knew Raja in LA …Madonna or Janet would sometimes walk into the club .. it was amazing times .
love this! Iconic
I spoke with her on the phone, she is genuinely such a kind soul. Her advice to me was to be kind and celebrate my queerness. Without her advice, my high school years would have been so much harder. I hope i get to meet her in person one day and let her know how much she helped me.
That's amazing! I idolize Raja! 💗
Wow that’s amazing. How’d you get the chance to speak to her on the phone?
"I wanted to be that person kids could look up to" if I can say anything with 100% certainty, Auntie Raja is someone many of us look up to. We love you and respect you more than many in our own families.
After how many seasons of Drag Race, Raja is still my favorite winner ever. ♥♥♥
Same!
Mine, too!!
Always has been, always will be my absolute favorite!
Ditto!!! Such a legend!!!
Best season with season 5
Raja is so wise. And her voice? Divine.
THE ICON, THE GODDESS, THE IDOL, THE DIVA, THE BEING, THE KING, THE QUEEN, THE VIBE, THE PAST, THE NOW, THE FOREVER...Raja
100% !!!
🎯
Yup!
Dont forget THE SUPREME & THE DEITY 🙌🏻 Just like she said on all star 7 "Raja the goddess, supreme and deity..."
#TeamRaja
@@relll394 oh YES!!! 🙌🏾 always #teamraja 🖤
She’s literally on Rupauls level , she’s an ICON
EYE-con
The peace and confidence she carries within herself is so awe-inspiring. This is the most honest and vulnerable I’ve ever heard Raja speak. She said I am not perfect, but I am an icon. She is absolutely that. Stan Raja forever ❤️
PEACE AND CONFIDENCE WITHOUT THE ARROGANCY. There is goodness and positivity in her. She is spokeswoman, a spokesman. Genuine, kind and exquisite.
💯 👍
Raja is one of those people in this world that makes my heart so full whenever she comes up. She is such a treasure
I love how grounded Raja is in the way she speaks about things. Like with her music video - “that was a hose, that was a leaf blower” lol. I love her message of authenticity and that art is what you make of it ❤️
What an articulate, kind human being. She’s so reflective and appreciative of each of her experiences, regardless of their outcomes. Complete legend and a beautiful soul.
I wasn't very attached to Raja back in her og season, but now I'm totally in love with her personality, her aesthetic and her beauty. Something about her hits different for me now, she just seems ethereal somehow.
what "OG" means ?
@@MrLuis85698 Original
Yesssss
What does "OG" mean ? and why is it exclusively associated with Raja?
I sincerely thought Raja won because she was friends with RuPaul. She was a fashion queen, and little else. There far superior queens that season (but this was ages ago).
I love her, she makes ridiculous things look good and she can walk the runway with anything and still looks gorgeous!
Preach. 💖
Right? Only raja can pull off the flashy clashy things. It’s so awesome!
I remember watching ANTM as a teen, and loving Sutan because of his humor, love of fashion, and his queerness. After he left the show, I wondered where he went to, and that's how I discovered Drag Race in 2010.
I'm so happy to have been a fan for so long. I've met him twice and both times were magical. I'm so happy for all of Raja's success.
I love Raja and her drag but I also love her attitude and her outlook on life 💕 She's so chill and sweet but she also isn't afraid to speak her mind and be herself. She's been open about smoking weed for awhile lol. She's also come up with some of the most creative and iconic looks on Drag Race. I think my favorite Raja look is still the iconic Marie Antoinette look from S3.
I really love the fact that she took credit for her input in the industry. It’s important to recognise who you are
Always love Raja, she is beautiful inside and out and speaks with wisdom, clarity, kindness and a sense of style and history of which she is a part. A legend!
I LOVE Raja, she represents the soul of Drag, what's underneath all of the makeup and performance. She is pure art.
Raja is so extraordinary. She’s in a league of her own, definitely someone who inspires me in multiple ways. She should write a book 😊
Jinkx and Raja should be the ones with the most stars so far in All Stars 7. They have both been slaying.
She is an ICON, she is a LEGEND and she is the MOMENT
Such an honorable, expressive, and respectable person. Raja’s influence is far reaching and their ability to continually inspire many should never be overlooked. I’m so grateful to be living in this era of freedom and creativity, makes me very excited for the future.
Raja will forever be an inspiration for me such talented person and genuine, I got the chance to meet raja in Drag-con I believe 2016 and I was freaking out because I just admire it so much as a queen and artist many years back even before drag race anyways, I started talking Spanish because I was in Panic mode (Spanish is my first language) and Raja just calm me down talk to me in Spanish and give me the biggest hug plus took a picture with me … the most precious soul !!! After this I decide it was the time to quit my job and start the career I always wanted as a makeup artist and I never looked back definitely the happiest years of my life !!
Raja is the queen that made me love drag and the art that comes with it. She’s just a legendary icon and I really really adore her. I also stan Sutan Amrull. That person is genuinely one of the coolest people I’ve ever seen. 🥺♥️
this interview almost made me cry. I loved every bit of it
It's so touching to see Raja be genuinely and humbly grateful for all the fabulousness a long and successful Drag career has brought to her life.
it's weird to see her so understated. I'm used to seeing her incredibly out doing everyone. Raja will always be my fav. I think it's her motherly/calm/advice like personality.
Love u raja. I remember watching u on season 3 and now all stars. My grandma and me use to watch the show together and when she saw the trailer with u , she’s love watching your artistry
I miss Raja on fashion photo ruview SO MUCH. Her insights are just not something anyone else can replicate. I think Roger tooting and booting herself and the queens she was competing against would have been hilarious.
Raja is the best of MODERN drag. She elevated the art.
I’ve loved her since ANTM. She’s definitely one of my favorite drag queens.
That’s a Vivienne Westwood set she’s wearing, so iconic!
Thanks for the scoop--I've been coveting it this whole video!
came to the comments to clock the westwood squiggle print as well lmao
They gotta bring back Raja Drawja!!!!
Yes! Wow Presents might have the budget now to properly invest in the show. A campaign should be started!
Raja pls make your own CZcams Channel, we want more of you!
"She did not abbreviate" love the sassy editing!
What an icon! My fave always 🥰🥰
She is a legend. You do not ask a legend to abbreviate, you bask in their presence.
Is anyone else as thrilled as I am that we get to see so much of the EYECON? What a joy to watch the legend remind remind these kids who she is. I may not be in a bad mood for the rest of 2022, maybe next year also.
The amount of joy I felt when I saw the video was 15 minutes almost made me cry
I love raja just has so much grace.
RAJA IS A LEGEND!!
"She did not abbreviate" sent me into orbit 😭😭
Raja is just pure magic. Serious star quality.
the best part of this season was seeing how iconic and fierce raja remained after these years
I love Raja so much, I’m hoping AS7 brings her even more opportunities and success. I hope the entire world can see how incredible and talented she really is.
She's really such a well spoken, kind, kind of intimidating and nice person. I really wish to be more articulate in my speech like her.
I also grew up with Madame & Wayland.
I love that Raja played her on Snatch Game.
She’s my queen of queens. There’s always a grand excellence that Raja brings that I will never get over
Yesss! Well said RJ !
Raja is the real definition of explicit fashion.♡!
I am grateful for Raja.
She's been my all time favorite queen since season 3 💜🧿✨ Love that now she's getting all that recognition.
Beautiful, talented, immaculate, gorgeous, wise, soothsayer, witch, genius, goddess, supreme deity, etc
Thank you editors for leaving in raja going "oh... God i hate this" lmfao
I need more of this gorgeous human. My favourite Queen ever!❤️😭😭👑👑👑
She’s so articulate and eloquent when she speaks. And she speaks intently and always adds a metaphysical element in some way
Yeah, I really admire how she realizes the literal meaning of her words and always means what she says.
I remember so clearly when she entered the week room for the first time, and immediately obsessed over her authenticity. She’s always been Raja, such a creative, warm and loving human being.
I love Raja, I’ve been her fan since season 3, OG fashion queen, so cool and effortless ❤️ PS: love her Vivienne Westwood outfit in this interview.
Raja I really love you... You inspire so many people for many years, I´m ver glad that you came back to Rupaul Drag Race to see you shine again
Raja is my spirit animal, love her!
Raja is an inspiration and icon to me, as someone who doesn’t feel like they belong, what she stands for really resonates within and I can’t thank Raja enough.
raja is truly a force of nature. her love for creating art in general is so inspiring to me! she is so wise, and yet she still finds ways to grow as an artist. idk how else to say this, but she truly captures the essence of an artist. it just RADIATES.
Love Raja she’s like a drag unicorn! Rare & Magical! She give me all the feels! ✨✨
She DESERVED the win on that Snatch Game episode.
Raja don't even need that star on allstars because he is an actual legendary legend like I remember that episode of top model and he was so fierce and cool to me.
I've always admired Raja, she is very talented, genuine, very forward thinking, smart and funny.
Raja is different than the drag queens that go on Rupaul’s Drag Race today. He’s not just studied fashion he is fashion.
He’s also got a refreshing honesty about himself. He doesn’t come over as entitled in any way. Unlike some of the more the recent queens who’ve won (Aquaria comes to mind ) he’s steeped in the history of drag, drag comedy and his own cutting edge fashion. I wonder if the winners of Rupaul’s Drag Race after season 8 will even be remembered in 5 years,I doubt it😳
She is so sincere and sweet. She is my absolute favorite. Every time I think I can’t possibly fall more in love with Raja, I do!! ❤
My favourite drag race queen of all time. So much admiration for this artist.
Raja is so inspiring!!! I love her and she is definitely a roll model 😊Much love to her 💕😍 Pretty much her mantra is "Be your-queer-self and do not apologize, enjoy live, laugh and love" Love this queen💕
I never heard of drag until I seen Raja in pictures. Stunning person. She is my favorite one .
my gemini sister ♊️🧡 much love to you Raja!
Raja is in my top 3 favorite drag race queens for sure. such a lovely person.
raja is just simply a a master at her craft, i live for miss rajz
My favorite ever! Ever since I saw Raja on season 3, I was like oh my god, she's perfect. And not just the looks, the incredibile fashion sense, but the personality. Wish she was my best friend.
What a stunning talk. That was the beautiful, inspirational moment I needed in my day.
So classy and well spoken ❤️ and a gorgeous queen inside and out.
I just love her so much. She’s so genuine and real 😭
This video was SO well done! It really did Raja justice and gave her her flowers. Raja is someone you love to see succeed and thrive
I love this interview soooooo much
Definitely saw myself as she walked into the werk room for the first time. I was catching up on Drag Race not too long ago and she made me cry the most helping me heal my inner weirdo child.
I just love her. She brings so much joy to my life.
I love her so much! She has this skill of speaking about complex topics in such a simple and slight way.
Raja you are such an incredible, beautiful soul ❤️ It has been a privilege getting to know you and your art this season ❤️
What an absolutely glorious delight to see Raja and listen to the wisdom. Wonderful. Thank you so much.
