- Genesis Basecamp Stove is a great addition to car camping, going on or picnic, or van life. This stove works off propane and gets hot really fast. What I like most are the compact size and its overall quality. I have provided some links below for the 5 pound propane tank, the braided line, adapter, nonstick pan, and the stove itself. Just got mine after a year long search for one. REI had them in stock and 20% off
I have the same jetboil genesis and i bought the same 5lb gas tank from the Ignik, im connect the stove and the tank and didnt work. can you help me please. i dont have a pressure regulator, and i try to figured out whats the problem but i dont saw any info
I always forget how to hook it up when I haven't used it for a while. There is a Main port and an Accessory port. Make sure you are using the main port to hook the gas. The accessory port is to hook another device up like a coffee boiler etc. I hope this helps, the best and fastest stove made.
@@828findadventure Thanks your fast answer a really appreciated. Yes i used the main hook, the fuel input side, off course. So i bought the genesis and the gas tank few days ago, so the both is brand new, i connected the tank to the genesis fuel input side with the hose, opened the tank, and i doesnt sound nothing from the gensesis and doesnt flame up. i saw couple a videos another guys used pressure regulator on the tank, but i dont know i need that or not, because they used different, old stoves.
@@hunnewyorker when I am using a propane tank I leave the valve shut until all is hooked up to the stove. I then turn the little black knobs one half turn. Then flick the red lever to ignite the flame.
@@hunnewyorker also, are you sure the tank got filled?
@@828findadventure now everything is fine, all good, if was the stupid this time, so sorry brother and thank alot your help and answers. this is my first basecamp stove and the first tank, i have a little canisters for fishing just to make coffee or little things but this is my first tank, and i grabed this tank from the store not ordered online, so i thinked the tank is ok and full. and nobody said there this is an empty one. i was so stupid bro, sorry. i cheked the tank weight with a scale and im start laughing. sorry to bothered you, i really appreciated your help, and loved your video. my head wasnt on my neck this time 🤣🤣🤣🤣
How do you like that table? I’ve been looking at some from GCI like that
I love it, lite weight, easy set up. I just leave it in my vehicle for those impromptu picnics or drinks.
GCI makes some great products.
@@828findadventure is that a GCI one?
@@VanillaGorilla502 it is the REI Camp Roll table, but I think GCI makes it. I've seen similar on their website. I also use a small GCI folding end table which is great as well for one person.
Is that hose you are using for the 5 lb propane connect the same one used for a 20 lb tank ?
Yes it is. Those little five pound tanks are awesome. Thanks for commenting.
828findadventure wanted to make sure im connecting safely to a 5 gal. Saw a yt where someone connected a 20 gal incorrectly and it was almost a sentinel event.
It calls for a 1 pound tank so I didn’t see an issue hooking up a five pound with a proper hose and fittings. Just used it to cook dinner at home during a power outage. Heats so fast.
How's the unit holding up with the 5# bottle?
