The radiance of the body and its healthy state, is the signal to know whether we exist or we are alive......so thanks to China for preserving such a useful knowledge.
Every time I play this and practise with Master Faye I am filled with gratitude that you came to my life, even if only through a video, and somehow I bow at the end of every practice... ;) This lesson clip came to me through my Mum, making it additionally valuable. Hopefully one day I will be able to attend a seminar taught by Master Faye in person.

I've been having trouble remembering how to do this exercise and this video has brought it all back. Thank you again. *deepest bows*
Also, thank you for the mirror image. This makes learning so much easier.

Je suis émerveillé par la grâce de cette dame , la précision des gestes mais aussi la musique est adorable. Un instant de bonheur. Merci
What a wonderful antidote to the horrors we are witnessing around the world at present. How reassuring it is to be reminded that human beings can be things of beauty and creators of goodness. Thank you Master Faye.
Bloody hell lighten up mate :-)
Sound advice. By being a happy fulfilled person you are doing the world a favour. Don't watch the news. It's a concentrated pocket of negative events which do not accurately resident represent the world. In fact I'm sure your opinion of humans comes from what you've seen through the media and not from your own life experiences.

Hello Master Faye Yip, Can I do these exercises with the breathing but without the qigong state of mind and still benefit from it? I mean to do this as a form of exercise without the meditation. Thanks!
整体上步调舒缓动作整齐还是不错的;
摇头摆尾去心火,有摇头姿势,摆尾可能还要强化;攒拳怒目一式手眼相随。
I'm so amazed at how elegant she is ! This is gonna be my cool down after working out because it relaxes my soul and body. Thank you for sharing art with us !

Nice moves very fluid and that is what makes Qi Gong a challenge to learn and she does it will. Qi Gong is a created state of being with ones core breath energy coordinated with one's physical movement being mindful energy direction for it has to be learned to form a desired state. What you see is only one part of what she is doing. Leaning to use selective muscle to coordinate hands, feet and head that does the moves of the body and core breathing action is the energy flow part. The basic elements of Qi Gong is mind, body and core-breath coordinated together creating purposeful human state.
Nicely put Scott, thanks for your comments!
Nice moves
Gracias, Gracias, Gracias*

HI, this form is available from taichilink.co.uk. it is a book comes with an instructional DVD, it is not demonstrated by master Faye but is good too. visit and select "books" you will find, the Ba Duan Jin / 8 treasures.
Lovely and refined, they don't call her Master for nothing. I especially like her sword work.
10:00 cool hands!
Hello! Thanks for your great videos! I have some questions please:
1)What is the longest time I can practice Qigong on a day?
2) If I have lots of free time in a day, can I practice Qigong lots of hours every day?
3) Is too much Qigong practice in a day harmful?
I wait curiously for your answers! Thanks! Noam.
Noam, thank you for your queries. answer to your questions,
1, there is no fix length of time, however, we would recommended 1-2 hrs in the morning, and if preferred an extra evening practice session is good too.
2, it is up to you but we feel that Qigong is there to enhance not take over our lives.
3, like any exercise if the practice starts to cause excess continuous pain and discomfort then it is probably too much. We suggest a reasonable amount of training is good by obsessive training only has adverse effect.
Hope my answers help you to work out a good regime of Qigong practice. why not join one of our seminars? check our website for detail healthqigong.org.uk/calendar/hq_event_calendar.php or www.deyin-taiji.com/calendar/hq_event_calendar.php.
good luck and enjoy the great benefits of our Qigong exercises
Thank you very much!
Is this version the official version from China? I have seen others with variations, and on number 8 more movement. This is beautiful. I want to learn the most accepted version.
John Mooter Hi, This is the Health Qigong 8 Teasures from the International Health Qigong Series. BHQA is the official Health Qigong Organisation in the UK. glad you enjoy the form and thanks for the complement
beautiful movement. what is the name of the music (title and artist). thank you very much.
Hi the music was specially written for the set by the Chinese Qigong Association, you can get it at this link www.taichilink.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=14&products_id=249
enjoy.. :-)
Deyin Taijiquan Institute Thank you so much and I appreciate your response.
Hi,
Qigong is a practise which enhance one's health and welbeing on a personal spiritual level. Shen Gong is genearlly referred to exercises linked to spiritual entity outside. common understanding not the norm though.
I have viewed various examples of the eight brocades, and even the Dragon and Tiger Qigong for health. Which has caused me to wonder, would I ever discover the original system of any one of the Qigong systems ? I would rather be traditional because of the original intent invested in each Qigong system.
But it would have been appreciated had the lady explained with each movement how the breathing occurs. There are too many videos with limited descriptions or no instructions at all.
I did Qigong for 4 years with a fine master in Hong Kong. The instruction on breathing were clear - don’t make any particular effort for breathing, just give your attention to the movements and breathe as it comes, natually.

Can anyone tell me where I can get this music from please?
Hi, You can get it from www.taichilink.net. It is called Ba Duan Jin Music CD. hope this help.
I learnt this a few years ago, but I can't remember exactly how the breathing should be coordinated for each movement. In the 6th movement I run out of breath trying to just breathe once, inhaling while coming up and exhaling coming down
Haelu786 it is better to start off with natural breathing. holding your breath incorrectly or run out of breath will affect your practice and doing it regularly may even affect your health. for now just use natural breathing, and it is a good idea to join a class with a qualified HQ instructor near you, visit www.healthqigong.org.uk for instructor listing. hope this help.
nice faye :)
Look her up, she is famous!
