Good job from an old retired tech, you explained it very well, even a dummy couldn’t screw this up.
I checked other videos and yours is the best.I can suggest a cork from a wine bottle works well for the funnel.
thanks for the feedback. really appreciate it.
I fked up i cant get the air out 😢
Keep overheating after 10mins
This is an excellent video. Detailed and straightforward, with no unnecessary small talk.
Always my goal. Appreciate the feedback
Thank You this was probably one of the best explained videos with the bleeder valve and how to properly use it.
Appreciate that 👊
80 mph test passed on my Mazda Three final installment thank you so much
The air filter you have on this car is drawing hot air it instead of fresh air .
Not for Honda users specifically
What should I ( will it) work for a 1.4 liter Fiat 500 c time will tell. [ I always post my speech-to-text fails]
Thank you, Lech! One of the best videos for this procedure. You hit every important point!
I tried. Thank you 👍👊
In my humble opinion your video has Definitely the best explained details from the rest I have viewed previously thanks for the awesome video.
Appreciate you. I try. I know what a headache this can be . 👊
I don't often comment on the videos, but thank you very much. that one explained it perfectly to me
glad to help. thanks
Thanks for the vid - I had trouble finding videos that demonstrated this for cars without a radiator cap. So much appreciated!
Glad to help 👊
Thank you for the beautiful service that you are providing your customers
Welcome 🤗👍
Good to know to have better direct explanation without waste of time, Yes I will do to bleed little Mini Cooper s R53 with this this method soon because I’m going to replace the radiator tmrw !
thanks in advance, great help

Best video for this process that I have seen. Very complete. Thanks!!
Thanks 😉👍
Excellent, man! Your a good teacher. I especially like the tip on getting the specialty funnel system.
Thanks 👊
Lech, you are absolutely awesome, thank you so much for doing the whole cooling system series of videos. This one, like the last two I watched are greatly informative and very helpful.
Glad to help 👊👍
This video was really helpful thanks a lot man great work keep it up dude yeah. If you happen to see this message I was just wondering if I wanted to go to Pick-N-Pull and get a housing outlet coolant system would it work as long as it's the same year as mine and will it work okay? And for how long you think until I will need to get a brand new one or should I just get a brand new one?
@@macaugustine2298 if you need to replace i would suggest getting new. you can pickup new radiator for like $60-$70 online. (you dont need the all aluminum one) thermostat should be under $20 if you dont need housing with it. unless youre picking something in great condition and cheap. otherwise might not be worth it as who knows how long that one will last.
Thank you for making this video and the detailed instructions.
Thanks for watching 👊
the best explanation ever, clear and to the point.
Thank you very much.
Appreciate it
Great video, the actual way it should be done
Just what I needed. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent video man helped me out ! Have a blessed day
👊👍
The best explanation I've ever seen. Thank you
Thanks 👊👍
EXCELLENT Video Sir. This is a comprehensive and wonderful tutorial on coolant system air removal. I love it! I even went to my local autozone and got the kit since the funnel and screw driver was giving me issues. but it did work just fine, little messy though.
Nice. Thanks for sharing
I fully understood and enjoyed this video. Thank you
Thank you
excellent video
Great video straight to the point
Thanks 👊
You give alot of good tips . Thank you , i subbed .
Appreciate you 👍👊
Great explanation. When I have the time, I typically leave the funnel in place (loosely covered to avoid debris entry) at the end of the burping process. I remove it after the system cools. This avoids handling of the hot coolant and allows some additional coolant to be drawn into the system as it contracts. After removing the funnel with remaining cooled liquid, I then just draw some coolant out of the reservoir until it's at the proper level.
Nice 👊👍
Youre a blessing brother. I was panicking, all my prestone leaked and I dint know. Took the highway and sensor/temperature light went to the roof and had white smoke.
2 days of craziness. Look out on youtube. Find the leak, replace the hose, and refill it with your instruction.
🙏🏽Many blessing to you🙏🏽
Liked your video and subscribed. Thank you again 🙏🏽 from Montreal Canada

Thanks for this video.
Yup 👊
Good information. Thank you!!!!!
Thanks 👊
Appreciate the video bro thanks 👍🏽
Glad to help 👊
Great video man . The reason they have a have a max level is so there is a volume of air to act as a " shock absorber" in the hydraulics of the coolant system.
Thanks 👊👍
Great video 😃👍🏼
Thanks 👊
Badass!! I have an '08 Charger and just did this yesterday. Im glad i did it right. 😂
Nice 👊
This is actually my Black Saturday project. Time to drain and fill the wife's 300. But don't tell her I am doing this, so that I can put off putting up Christmas decor, until December hahaha! Thanks for the link to the funnel, definitely going to get one of those!
Ha. Nice. Have fun
Thank you very much, I had so much air in my system and now it runs perfectly for the moment no issues.
Nice 👊
@@HowToWithLech I have a car that’s known for bad head gaskets is the only way to know if my hg is bad is if I do the chemical test? I have no frothy oil or coolant on my caps
Car hasn’t run hot since I burped it
thanks for the vid 🤘
👊👍
First off, excellent video well thought out and explained, really has helped me. I appreciate you didn't try to do all this while holding you camera, it makes for a much better video.
Haha. Yeah. I’m learning. Thanks and happy to help
Love y’all’s t-shirt!

Thank you so much dude

Very helpful.

Genius thanks man.
👊👍
All I can say is excellent!
Thanks 😍
@@HowToWithLech I bought that kit from your Amazon link. The instructions you provided worked on my 3.5L Ecoboost. No bleeder valve, however worked like a charm after replacing my thermostat. Highly recommend watching by anyone working on late model car.

One day later. used the no spill and it worked great. used the rev technique and the hose squeeze too and bubbles just kept coming til ...the did not. took maybe 45 mins . Still keeping and eye on the gauge. Got a little hot yesterday at 80mph but cooled as i slowed to city driving. Burped it again this morning and will do the 80 test again. I don't like seeing it get that hot since that is a new high for it. Net... Great short effective video
all the best neal sw fla

great video for no radiator cap cars. I am off to give it a go. I'll let all know my outcome.
👊
Great video....

Thank you bro. I was scared that since i dont have a radiator cap this kit wouldn’t work. Going to do it now
You got it 👊
Good job!!!!!

Replaced the intake manifold, thermostat and got a coolant flush. Coolant level is full. 2000 Lincoln Town Car. Getting a sloshing sound in the dash which is a sign of air in the cooling system. From a full coolant state in the condition stated above would I just use the funnel, fill it up to overfull and do the the hose squeezing technique until no more bubbles? I don't believe I have a bleeder valve.
Thank you so much, Lech! This video helped save my F-150 after my heater core inlet hose broke due to age. I didn’t realize air was introduced at that time & didn’t think anything of it until my radiator fans started behaving like helicopters. This is the clearest & most accurate presentation on how to do this, thank you again so much! Do you have a Venmo i can donate to for your time & effort please?
Amazing. Happy to help out. And appreciate the feedback. Yeah, added my Venmo in description. Thanks 👊
I love the shirt bro!
Ha, thanks👊. Rothco brand

Hey thanks for the tip I just replace the thermostat on my 2014 caravan and after it was running hot when I was getting on the gas but cooling back down eventually I think I have air in it I'm going to try this
Do it. 👍👊
@@HowToWithLech worked thanks
Exactly what i was looking for thank you
👍
Good video, yeah you could leave the heater fans off the get the engine up to temp quicker. Some cars have a valve for coolant flow to the heater core energized by turning on the heat but if it were my car I would remove that valve so coolant flows 100% of the time keeping the lines and the core clean. Just some thoughts.
Thanks for sharing 👊
Thank you
👍
NICE!
👍
Great vid! I only have one question, you didn't remove the excess liquid as it will "overflow and drain out". How does that work? Does it go back into the overflow reservoir? I've been told to not add coolant above the max line for my 78 TA. What should I do?
Correct. Remove it. Or overflow drain should do it. But better to remove
Best explanation on CZcams. Thanks.
Appreciate you 👊
Very nice video! A quick question, my cars AC gas leaked out. How do I bleed the system without any hot air?
Ac should not affect it. As you’re turning the heat up only.
So if I changed my Radiator and It needs to be filled up with no Radiator cap, I would just fill it up like u did through the reservoir and it wil travel to the radiator and fill it up?
Fan motor does not need to be on high. Temperature select does need to be maxxed so max fluid flow can pass through. Having fan speed on high makes heater core act as a miniature radiator, cooling fluid and lengthening warm up time.
thanks
I have a 2007 dodge 3.7 nitro 4wd I have a radiator cap and reservoir which should I use to bleed my system ?
Great video I have been doing this but the temperature gauge on my 5.7 Durango is fluctuating up and down sooner I hit traffic I can see the temperature jump to midel and then come back down but before i did a radiator flush the temperature gauge was stable wasn’t fluctuating !
Any help appreciated thank you
Thermostat is good right. Also both houses air squeezed out. And bleeder valve if yiu have one.
Thank you I have one question I already placed not even one gallon of coolant in my engine I can I still do this process or will I need to drain all of the coolant and start this procedure from the begining?
That’s fine. You need it full to burp it. So keep going 👊
Hey great video, question tho, what if mines had coolant in it already, can I still do this? I have the kit
Yeah. Can do it anytime honestly if you think wasn’t burped
Awesome Video, Thank you but I paid for the same Funnel Kit $44.00 at O’Reilly’s, well I just bought today, 2024.
oh yeah. automotive stores will be pricier. i think same with autozone next to me. amazon its in the 20's
What if a car doesnt have a bleeder? My vehicle also does not run up to temp for fans/thermostat opening without the coolant res cap on. Will using this funnel method allow my car to get up to temp for thermostat open? I noticed you said your thermostat was opening but it wasnt even at 20c. Mine opens at 97c.
Awesome. Will watch again when motor cool down 😅
👍👊
Very nice vid.
But why did the coolant change color? I don't know but I suppose it is a sign of something.
There is few reasons. One could even be a leaky gasket, but don’t think was that. So far car been good so hoping no other issue comes up
We’ll explained thanks
Thanks 👊
When driving around town it stays steady now. When driving on highway temp goes up to 3/4 mark. Any thoughts if you have a moment?
Thermostat working? Opening up. If radiator fans not kicking in, or heat not working. It might be locked up thermostat.
Was your coolant cloudy when emptied back into container? It definitely wasn't as bright and vibrant as when you first filled it
I didn’t flush out clean old coolant. Just drained it. So yeah I’m sure it affected it a little.
Ive got a question, i noticed my dodge durango oursuit 40a fuse for the intercooler wasnt there, ive been running hot and overheating, once i burp the system like this will all the air be out once i plug the intercooler hose back on? Its right where you're bleeding from in the video
I replaced the fuse and am about to replace the thermostat also
Would this work on 08 Saturn vue xr I can fix almost anything on a car but when it comes to this I’m no good but I went out and brought one of those funnels if you over fill the overflow tank just let it cool down then take a little from the radiator
Yeah. Idea is the same. Should work fine
So, some one just told me to do this because I put coolant in the reservoir but when I crank the car it drains but there isn't any leaks. The radiator is not full. So does doing this help with my issue?
Could you do one on the 3100 GM low profile engine (Buick Century, Chevy Lumina, etc.)? The radiator outlet is slanted and there are two bleeder screws. Always having heat issues. Thanks.
If I can get my hands on one I’ll try. Have to ask around. Bleeder valve should be similar idea if it’s there. But big thing is getting the air out of the hoses.
Could be the thermostat that needs replacing though. Maybe it’s getting stuck
@@HowToWithLech the whole top end and thermostat is new. Thanks.
@@ferdiecassel3697 hmm. not sure.
@@ferdiecassel3697 new doesn't mean anything. could be functioning the exact same as your old parts
Hello , i am using the same Lexus RX300, 1999 model engine 1MZFE . we accidently swap/connecting the Vacuum Surge Tank pipe to the water outlet there just below it. the system was filled with water until the water comes out at The Charcoal Canister through the Air Drain Horse, back there beyond the gas tank.. We have tried to remove the water by sucking and blowing through the pipes and even put the new service kit since we found some plugs socked in water. but still the car wont start but cranks. what advice can you give sir
Not sure to be honest. Sounds like a bigger issue. Not familiar with the car, so can’t advise more
Had my water pump changed yesterday didn't over heat anymore didn't leak no more , gonna put on thermostat today just now after this video then bleed the system
👊👍
Do you have to do this method after replacing the water pump also ?
if changing water pump its a good idea to change the fluid to. but yeah, you will need to make sure no air pockets sitting et.
You dont want to overfill the resivor do you?! My car has a line just below the halfway dow that says fill line, am I suppose to fill it past that?!?! How would i get ot back to the normal correct fill line then?!Thanks!
Correct. Can siphon some out after. Or it will just overflow later through the hose on there.
I have a 5.7l hemi and its not over heating but coolant overflows when i drive it i do have a small hole in radiator im having repaired. I replaced the thermastat and replace the upper radiator house.. Again it does not run hot .. Any advice???
Is there too much coolant in the reservoir? Should be filled to the marked lines. Not sure if the hole would affect it. Sorry not sure what it could be
