The sky bridge zoom out is one of the best i've ever seen. That map is normally full of fog and it's hard to see all of the buildings in the distance. It's amazing to see how much is modelled when the fog is disabled. Had a lot of fun working with you on this episode Shesez! Great work!

5:11, the reason those NPCs are spawned in the basement is to show there are people in the room when you use "Listen Mode" when outside the door.
Huh-- here I assumed that they just used existing character models at the start before they had the final "hero" models finished. But that makes sense! The npc models are probably less graphics-intensive, so when the Joel and Abby models spawn in, they likely despawn other stuff in the map!
@@DarthTofu2 At that point in the game, Ellie has no idea what she is going to see in that room, so to save resources, Naughty Dog probably just loaded two generic models and once the door is interacted with they call in the hero models for the cutscene. it makes sense from that stand point
@@DeathlyPrice They probably saved on some programming for these characters as they have the "listening mode" trigger already integrated. If they use the high detailed models, they probably have to modify their code as well.
That's clever
Listen mode made me turn off the game when you go to the hospital as Abby. When you first go in the quarantined section and find a locked door. If you try to open the door, you’ll hear a roar, and going into listen mode shows the blurry form of what I would soon find out was the rat king. I didn’t play for like 2 days cause that scared the shit out of me.

The Abby and lev turning into the Rattlers scene in on purpose as Ellie momentarily sees the rattlers as Abby and Lev, Ellie even going as far as addressing the bigger one as Abby. Still cool that they used the character models like that though

Most probably they bought the asset and it came with the vita home screen. They then layered the game texture on top because its easier that way.

There is a scene in TLOU 2, immediately before arriving at the theatre where you run away from a group of infected and come out of the underground. Due to the rushed action you never really get a chance to see that environment. If you cover again this title, it would be really good to see a boundary break of that part
I wanted to see the farm house environment too.
You can do this with new game plus and with the in-game cheats although don’t go too far from the intended area because it’s a insta-kill, careful using the explosive arrows, kill too much enemies once and the game crashes

@stupidchoices7242 you can't go too far from the gate or you die, the spots to spawnkill I recommend is after going up the escalator or a little hallway beside the last gate

Getting to see Joel at the dance off-camera in a spot we would never see him felt like finding a new photo or video of someone you've lost after the fact. It was really strange and bittersweet to see those few seconds.

@@Torquenbeans You can actually sort of trick the game to see it in normal gameplay. I messed around in there for a while for the same curiosity, and indeed it just snap-cuts to the aftermath.

These AAA hyper realistic games always have the best Zoom outs. 👍
i beat this game within the month it came out. havent played it since, but i canNOT stop thinking about it. even though most of the plot pissed me off like a lot of other people, this game, just like the first, became one of my favorite video game experiences ever. and i definitely want to do another play through, and focus on in-game photography because its just so damn beautiful
Im seattle the sinkholes did not collapse any buildings, half of seattle is flooded then the waterfront is intact, somehow most of downtown seattle is intact (only dmaaged part is the part.closer to the interstate)
Somehow the tunnel didnt collapse despite being directly affected by the bombing, its such a shit game man

Fun fact: The leak scene for Joel's death that circulated on twitter shows the scene where the blood splatter at a different camera angle. It's no wonder they changed this scene because my god, fans already had trouble to cope with his death to begin with, and if they showed a scene above Joel and his head busted in, fans heart wouldn't take it

Could we please get a second video on this game. Their are so many scenes and locations I would have love to see. For example, a different angle of when Ellie and Dina ride over the Wolf's bombs as they ride into Seattle. Or a zoom out of the destroyed monorail. So many things that I would like to see and I'm sure others would too.
I feel like most people have got over this game already but I hope you don't get any sass. Even divisive games have cool secrets inside.

I know I already wrote this once, but I would love to see Mirror's Edge if possible. If you are interested in making an episode, I have been doing some boundary break myself. I will gladly share that content by making a video with some of the most interesting stuff.
It's easy to explore mirror's edge maps using multiplayer mod with trainer on, few hidden things are very interesting like Battlefield 2 promo low poly phone booth but devs hid everything we couldn't see so there's nothing to look at
@@kaziq1x there is actually a lot of things, especially how the "train escape" works, how helicopters have unused cockpits, how cutscenes look from another perspective, how reflections looks when you take the camera out of bounds, how disarming guards look from another perspective, how in the training level you will at one time see 3 seperate models of celeste and there are loads more.

12:47 not bizarre at all. If I remember correctly you indeed see those models at first - though they are really blurry. Once the blur disappears we can see the actual rattlers.

@@BoundaryBreak question, since this game isn’t on Pc, how did you get this camera hack? How is it possible? Do you have a jailbroken PS4?
@@robertschris82 it wasn’t Shesez who filmed it and the guy who filmed it almost certainly had a jailbroken ps4. The game actually has a debug/dev menu built in by default but you obviously can’t access it unless you have a modded console
For resident evil 8 check what happens to the family in the scene where the dining room gets set on fire by the old man who turns into a vampire, we don't really get a good look at what happens
Game came out too recently, won't be any camera tools unless the ones from Resident evil 7 are compatible in some way.
I like how at 4:28. More detail is actually popping into the scene as you zoom out.

It's cool to see how details break apart when you try seeing something you are not supposed to. If anything, it makes one appreciate the work put in to polish what you are supposed to see.

Being a Games Art student, it's always so interesting so see how games are designed as it helps with my education in understandinghow games are made. Say what you will about the game. But it is really amazing how impress the graphics are for a console that is ancient by today’s standards.
I played it all without knowing anything, and I loved every second of it. I think a majority of people who hated it where people who watched playthroughs, or people who got it spoiled and act like they played it. Of course there's a lot of people who played it without knowing anything as well and also hated it, but I think it was blown way to far out of proportion. The game is incredible.

@@arandomperson5434 personally, the story was the best part to me. Playing other games like Ghost of tsushima and hades i can safely say that the last of us part 2's gameplay was not nearly as impressive as the other two. The part that sets it aside however was the story. It was gripping and combined with the scavenging gameplay it placed you really well in both Abby and Ellie's shoes. I wasnt a huge fan of the gameplay, but that doesnt mean it bothered me. I just feel that the story gets a lot of hate and personally i think it was the best part.
I do love when see still animated/unused animations even when mot cap or programed and love combination of 3d model and environment cube for lighting/environments (such as shrubs and trees). I still remember my "Out of Bounds" of RE7 early glitches while getting chased by Jack (Its scary he could still chase u and fully clip through map like u, tht terrified me when first played and encountered lol)

It’s not bizarre that Lev and Abby’s animations are used in the Rattler trap, Ellie is so sick that’s who she thinks is approaching her. It’s also why there is a vague resemblance to the Rattlers and Lev and Abby. I didn’t think I could love this game more but finding out they used Lev and Abby really makes me appreciate the detail!

I would love to see a Call of Duty game Boundary Break. On what specific game is a bit difficult. I have heard of some interesting stuff being oob in the older games, but MW2019 would be interesting to me due to the amount of detail they put into the game and one thing I would really like to see is Clean House and if anything happens before you enter each room.

There are two specific scenes that I'm sure me and a lot of people are sad about not being shown or talked about because we wanted to know how much detail was put into the scenes, one of them including Abby and Owen...

It's so dumb how ppl fixate on the Abby and Owen love scene for all the wrong reasons. Owen has such a fantastic monologue in that scene and all that is ignored because some gamers cannot handle mature content.

@@AidanFarren-Hart well he's a bad person who's done bad things. a hero's death would have been undeserved and ignorant to the humanity of everyone he's wronged, (including Ellie) and it would have spat in the face of the themes of the consequences of our actions that the series has had since the start
Joel was absolutely no saint, and did many horrendous things in the apocalypse (though he wasn’t completely bad either), but I’ve seen morally questionable protagonists, in games and otherwise, who’ve died as a consequence of their actions. While their deaths could be heart-wrenching, I felt they were well-written and appropriate to their stories. In my opinion, Joel’s death was not well-written. It didn’t necessarily need to be heroic, and I understand what Naughty Dog were going for, but I don’t personally think the direction they chose worked. That’s just my opinion though; to each their own.
