    Federer is a paragon of a Tennis player. His technique will probably never be replicated. Sure Nadal is a powerhouse and Novak a machine, but watching Federer is like seeing your favorite painting or hearing great music

      His and nadal’s forehand are similar. If nadal’s hand doesn’t whip around his head, it looks exactly like rogers but with a different grip.

      Azael that is a most eloquent description and I agree .Who would really want to watch a Novak or Nadal match several times and yet I frequently watch Rogers old matches .

    Roger is poetry in motion, the most spectacular player to ever play the game! I am so grateful to live at the same time as Roger and fortunate to watch him up close a few times, so amazing to witness first hand! What a loss for the sport when he'll retire. Play as long as you can Roger!!

    Like Becker says, "you don't know if Roger is playing tennis or performing ballet". One of the best slow mo of Fed. You managed to get Fed in full flight for the run around forehand. It's quite a beautiful stoke. No one even comes close to doing that better.

    It teaches so much, not only tennis. Just look how relaxed he is, how effortless. No mimic impressions. That's the man on his place. In the zone - a beautiful and only way to truely be. I'm so glad I've seen this, that I posted maybe first comment from a year and I'm watching at least one short tennis movie on YT. Great job man! Keep it up :)

    Yeah, this is pure art in display, never faked, copied nor memorised but in the DNA, the GOAT debate has just reached its use by date, it will be ignorance to try and bring that debate back.     Everyone please read “Roger Federer as Religious Experience” by David Foster Wallace, it’s the linguistic equivalent of this video. Just as no one will ever strike the ball as exquisitely as Roger, no one will ever match DFW’s description of his transcendent talent.

    First of all, beautiful footage.
    Second thing, I've just had an incredible coincidence re-watching the beginning of this video: a few years ago I recorded some compositions of mine with the guitar and now I was listening to them after a long time. Well, when I stopped in order to watch this video I heard the exact same notes (the melody, chords are different) played by the piano, with same tempo and register! Well, not a big deal but funny :)
