@@berry5611 It did keep everything in my Accounts. But I didn’t back my games up, so I lost all my progress on whatever games I was playing.

@@berry5611 I was playing Red Dead Redemption 2, The Walking Dead, Skyrim, and the Sims 4. I was kind of far in Skyrim, so it sucks that I have to start that one all over, but it’s OK. If you’re able to back your games up first, you should do it. You need to use an external hard drive, there are a lot of videos on CZcams telling you how to do it. I wasn’t able to back my games up, because my PS4 Kept freezing at the start up screen.

To create new format after you make ps4 folder 1 click then look at the top of the bar bc manage will now pop up, u change it there

You sure it’s the hard drive, go for it also a wire may be unplugged or eithier it runs too hot so you wanna gef rid of the dust, or either you know you can upgade to a ps5
Forgot to say if anything is short circutted or either something is broken and is unfixable don’t try to fix, probably done for.
I have a question, I recently purchased a new 1tb hard drive to put into my ps4. I removed my old hard drive and installed my new hard drive safely. After turning on my ps4 and inserting the hard drive containing the reinstallation update, I press okay for OK to download the reinstallation update file put it just puts up an error (su-30625-6) that the data is corrupted, what do I do? can you please help?
Sandisk drives are rubbish,,, would have been better off keeping the original drive,,, ssd drives are faster but the mechanical toshiba is way more reliable,,,, I have had several of these sandisk drives fail within 12 months of light use,, otherwise this is a solid tutorial
Why cant you just use your hdd with a connector to usb to do the update install wouldnt the latest version still be on that old hdd ?
So PS4 hardware can detect if we're installing the lowest firmware version during reinstallation of system software after the SSD or HDD upgrade?

@Charge xGod I started having troubles with it taking the disc. There are a few things you can try first, before buying a new dosc drive but ik mine needs replacing.
@Charge xGod it could be the disc drive malfunctioning. Make sure if you are resetting your system to redownload the updated firmware.

my ps4 hdd broke somehow so i took one from my moms old laptop(the exact same one but thicker cause my harddrive was replaced before i bought it) and it works now

hey bro i was trying to reinstall the software onto the same hard drive i formatted the file coorectly as it let me start the update it finished initializing then went to preparing the update and didnt do anything, said error and it couldnt access the system storage, do you think this is a corrupted file and would it work again if i bought a new hard drive as it doesnt have the old game files on?
So im 14 and wanna get a ssd, so I get a flash drive but the things is I don’t have a desktop so I can use my brothers laptop go to the ps4 software download it go to files transfer data to flash drive then after I plug it in into my ps4 and I get the software sign into my account then that should work plus will it reconize the games like the digital and the cds on it I reckon that I will have my digital games then I gotta redownload the cd games. Right?
Ok so my only issue is that it’s download as an E internet explorer file instead of a regular file so I can’t copy it over

If the update file is not working on Chrome use a different browser and it should work, for example Microsoft Edge
Right click on the link then click open in new tab will work fine

Usually just give it time, try to eject again. Bc its still transferring the file over
I have deleted the download on the usb drive and every time I try to use it, it says that the file is corrupted, and there is no videos in the world for 8.03 corrupted file, I have redownloaded this file 18 times and it does not work, I am so close to breaking it in half because playstation is starting to become trash
Best thing to do, bc usually a file can corrupt a whole storage unit like the PS4 8.03 update did to the HDD, just Reformat the USB
I do exaclty all these steps! but when i press the 7.Initialise PS4 an error pops which says :The update file is corrupted.(SU-30625-6). I tried about 10 times with two different usb sticks and each time dowloading the file again and again. still the same problem. Any help ???????

help me I have a (ce-33567-4) cannot initialise 16% and error
Make sure the Drive is formatted and is formatted to Exfat
I put an ssd drive in and formatted it to fat32. Restarted with A usb drive plugged in with the OS and it just says hit ps button on ps4 while plugged in. When I do it just flashes the controller 1 time and nothing happens. (Ps4 is booted to safe mode when this is happening)

@@RaksNation I did everything correctly it ended up being the cable I used to plug the controller in was just a charging cable and not a data cable. Once I found one in mu junk drawer I was able to complete the install
