    I have issues with my apples getting sticky apples after a day or so being made, Is the vinegar recipe any less sticky than the corn syrup? Or will just putting them in the refrigerator after cooling and set and bagged? Keep them from getting sticky? Thanks awesome candy apple making . I do live in a high humidity area. I have also tried the high sweet powdered corn syrup, they still get sticky, have never tried putting them in the refrigerator.

    • @TinaSweetsFromHeaven
      @TinaSweetsFromHeaven  Před 3 lety

      Hello, it’s not the corn syrup that makes them sticky or break down. It’s the humanity that makes them sticky that’s why it’s best to refrigerate them after they cool and you have Package them. It’s the juice from the apples that makes them break down fast. I have a video on how to make candy apples from the beginning to the end. If you have anymore questions please let me know! Hope this helps and thank you!

      If it's coming from the tree you don't need to. But just make sure you clean them well enough to get the dirt off. Especially in the little hole where the stem is. Dirt hides in there. Use a q tip if you need to.

    • @patriciameadows7251
      @patriciameadows7251 Před 2 lety +1

      I don’t use a thermometer. I use the old “ice water in a clear cup” method. When the syrup is ready for dipping, it will crackle and build upon itself. Looks like a red spiraling castle being built. Never failed me. And it’s easy to eat; not sticky at all. Just crunchy...
