- In today's video, I present a demonstration illustrating the wiring and testing procedures for the VFD and 2.2kW spindle to ensure basic functionality. The primary objective is to familiarize ourselves with the wiring in preparation for the creation of the final control box.
I discuss considerations regarding the wall mounting of the control box and explore the possibility of replacing cable chains with a boom arm approach, which could potentially enhance dust extraction.
Towards the conclusion of the video, I showcase the wall-mounted control box and outline my intended layout for the components within. Additionally, I outline my plan to incorporate quick disconnects in the control box connections, aiming for a more modular approach that facilitates the machine's mobility in the future.

I’d like to suggest that this would be a good point to initiate beginning a book / folder, to include the associated manuals / instructions, and a locally made schematic and notes, to include subsequent changes / substitutions, of the machine specific wiring and identification of the individual components, for future reference.
Be careful to program the minimum spindle speed. I fried a spindle a few years ago.Nice work!
Indeed, the manual also states that. It came as a bundle so I believe it was configured already (according to manufacturer). Cheers!
Amazing...👏
I have a similar VFD. Check if its front panel can pop off. Then it can be relocated to a rectangular hole cut into the door of your control box using a ribbon cable, and you have easier access to it.
I did that on my machine 😊
It's really useful
That's a fantastic idea! I did not think of that. Thanks for the input😁
You can see here I mounted it with Sugru into my controller case. czcams.com/video/SJ8Mcgfx2aY/video.htmlsi=BuaINcKFt8_nOwaf
Muito belo a montagem, pretende usar aditivo com água desmineralizada para refrigerar o spindle, o meu começou a apresentar pequenas corrosão com agua pura então adicionei aditivo organico então pude conter
Agora tudo é perfeito
Can you share what VFD and spindle you are using?
Bro Please let me know the reliability of that RNR USB Board. many People say that it is highly prone to EMI spikes and is instable, Actually I bought one, But Not confident . Can We run longer projects? How to tackle such EMI isssues? is it that bad?
I will certainly share as much as I can about this board when it comes to testing. If I discover any issues, I will share everything :)
