After I replaced the battery to no avail and started searching on how to replace the starter, I found this vid. I applied the fix about a month and some change ago and haven't had the startup problem since. It literally took me more time to go to Auto Zone and make the purchase than it did to actually install it. Eight dollars. Thanks for the tip!!

Nice! So I'm a gal with no mechanical knowledge for the most part. This is my moms car and every now and then weird issues. Car not starting randomly. And clock/radio not working sometimes. Etc. This last one was engine light came on. Decided to give this a try,...voila! No engine light. I'm am super excited that with your video I was able to do something, which is empowering. I will post here again to let you know if this fixed the other issues. THANKS for this video. All the mechanics have been of no help! 😂

It's just a bracket on the engine. You can place it on the engine transmission or to another spot on the body. I place mine on brace right in front of the air filter. It's a black bracket holding a little cylinder in place.

I had the same problem. It wasn't starting at all and I left it at the parking lot. Went to Canadian Tire, bought a ground cable for 20 bucks, ratchet and sockets. After installing the new ground cable it just started right away. The old one was corroded. It saved me a lot of money considering the towing charges in Canada and I'm sure if I took to the mechanic they were going to charge me huge amount.

Had just followed your fix (and checked Edward Lakatos video too). The only thing I find different in my car is I dont have that bolt with the little bracket @ 2:50, but got a similar one where the closest black bolt in your video was.
