Nice to see another Canadian TRD Pro manual transmission. I picked mine up last year and I kind a felt the same regarding the paint, not too impressed. I had a2020 army green built in Texas and it seemed to be better quality. The reason I know it’s a Canadian version of the TRD Pro is they don’t include the hood graphics. I never really understood why. They should be the same as the USA version. Nice truck, I am enjoying my manual. Cheers
Thanks for the comment! I agree with the hood graphic - that's why I'm having a black hood scope graphic made with the topographical map of Alberta on it.
It's unacceptable what Toyota (and many car manufacturers) are trying to get away with nowadays when it comes to cutting corners. Great to draw awareness to the issue
Hope you get resolution on the paint job. Have the '24 4runner in SO and haven't noticed any issues with the paint job from the Japanese factory. Hope the 4runner remains being built there. Love the SO
Thanks man! Still awaiting a final decision from Toyota. I have heard the paint quality is much better on the 4 runner - wish the taco was made in japan, but I still love it!
I got a '23 4Runner pro used with 10k miles. I did ppf and ceramic. When prepping it, i found 15 small chips through color. I touched it up. Now 2k miles later, i have 7 more small chips. Two on roof. 5 on the side. Where you dont expect chips. The paint is missing like you show in the gas tank door. I am sick about it. Just discovered it. Will be going to Toyota and probably making my own video if they dont work with me.
After 6 months of fighting with the dealership and Toyota Canada. I finally have an appointment on Wednesday to take my truck in to get it re-painted. I will make a video after it's all done. Stay tuned Also if your in Edmonton the west Edmonton mall Toyota has a 2024 Tacoma in solar octane in there show room and it's paint is much better then the the 2023 Pro's. I think Toyota will be doing a recall on the 2023 Solar Octane trucks
@@TheWessGarage I am in Minnesota, but thank you for the info. I have not made it to the dealership yet. Glad yours is getting repainted. This is reduculous.
Because it was such a rare vihcle (plus it was the truck I wanted), and I wouldn't be able to get another one like it. I didn't really notice the issues at the dealership, when I took delivery of it. It's actually at the dealership right now getting alot of the paint issues fixed. I'll do a video once I get it back. To see if they actually fixed it. Thanks for watching
Picked my 23 SO Tacoma back in August. Right off the truck. I expected Toyota to have good paint but it doesn't, absolutely horrible. I have areas where you can see primer coat. I think a 5 year old painted the truck Makes we wonder about the reliability of Toyota.
Interesting... Same with me I was expecting better from Toyota. I am still waiting on Toyota Canada to get back to me with there final decision on weather they will do anything about the shawty paint job. I still love my truck and the paint color, but Toyota needs to do a better job painting there trucks especially the premium colour

Why did you buy it with all the paint flaws?

@@TheWessGarage LiL Kenny also has one just like yours and does CZcams videos. In case you want to check him out.
Why I dont buy without seeing the truck first.
