Just purchased a 2018 SQ5. I can't stand not having a touch screen. You'd think by 2018 every car manufacture would have realized that touch screen is the way to go. Trying to find a decent aftermarket screen that supports capacitive touch. Most of them are $700+.
Thank you so much! I'm currently waiting for my Q5 to be delivered, and I was a bit worried about the absence of touch. In the end it's probably a safer option and it seems to work just fine.

Great video! Do you have any idea why scrolling with the wheel wouldn't work?
I'm having this issue on my A4 and I can't figure out what's going on. I can still navigate CarPlay by 'clicking' the 4-directional controls on the MMI controller, but turning the wheel no longer does anything. Thanks.

when entering an address can you use the touchpad system to spell letters into google maps. or only on the native MMI system.

I have a BMW X5 video which would be somewhat similar to the 3 series. I plan on doing more BMWs in the future!
The question I have is that can I just hook up my phone to Bluetooth use WAZE, Apple Music or whatever and it will show up on the screen and can I switch music, etc on my phone without doing it with the knob?
No wireless CarPlay is really odd. 2017 bmw 3 series has that standard but Audi couldn’t figure that out?

I prefer without touchscreen like in my Audi TT, I changed for a Q5 sline with the same options. In 2021 it will be a touchscreen like in the current A3-2020.
Will the Virtual Cocpit display Google Maps from your phone?

I can see why the Mazda doesn’t have touch because their screen is basically out of reach but just seems odd to me that a premium car like Audi doesn’t have it when this screen looks easy to reach.
Simon Weaver audi is introducing an all new touch system for the 2020 Audi A4 and Q7 and will be introduced in the 2021 Audi Q5 and A5.

Does 2019 Audi Q5 Progressiv have CarPlay?
2018 and newer Audi Q5s come standard with Apple Carplay but that is in America. Some other countries may be different. You should check with your local Audi dealership to make sure if you are in a different country
