Thank you so much for the help.
I love apple car play.
Thank you
How do you view the different routes in Apple Maps, Apple car play? I have watched 15 videos!
Steve, when in CarPlay how do you increase the play volume of text messages? 2024 RAV4 Hybrid.
Turn the volume knob while she is speaking. That will save the new volume level
@@TrainerSteveClifford thank you, been driving me nuts. Unfortunately I don’t have far to go. 🤪
Would this work with a older vehicle ?
I have a 2002 Ford super duty .
CarPlay didn’t exist when that truck was made so without a new audio system, no.
They sell CarPlay tablets for cars that don’t have it.
Hi I see you know how to navigate everything. I got a 2024 Rav4 XLE Limited but it does read my mp4 videos files from USB like my 2018 Rav4 had. How do I get it to work?
It should work the same. It will not play a video file on the screen but should play the audio content. Plug the drive into the USB port in front of the shift lever. Use the "Mode" button on the steering wheel to toggle through the audio sources until I hits the USB port.
@@TrainerSteveClifford Thanks, it does play the audio files but I just wanted the video files. When you hold the mode button, will just pause the sound. I installed NAVIKS but it still won't work. I'm sure there is a override code for video output. I ordered a OBD scanner to get to the code. Hopefully that will work without going back to the dealership.
@@GingerSpice414 The dealer will not be able to help with this. What you're asking is beyond the design specs of the vehicle. I have no idea what NAVIKS is but I'm assuming it is an aftermarket device to allow video to be played on the system. Toyota and Toyota dealers will not help with this as it is a federal safety regulation you're trying to get around.
@@TrainerSteveClifford Oh okay. Thanks
