    After watching several videos and hearing each option, I'm not sold on it, but I guess some musicians may find this useful. I'll stick to a standard Strat and my Martin D-16 for acoustic.

    Great job on this demo Chris. I like Fender. This gem has a lot of sound options and would be a great travel /gig guitar as this is all you would need for different songs/genres . Seems a bit pricey, and not sure if I like the looks, would like to try one in person.

    This is a great guitar. Lots of sonic options and they all have very balanced output across the fingerboard. My guitar is a 2016 Taylor 414ce-R which, this year, is really opening up. It sounds great!

      I can see using this for several applications. Too many people shitting all over this concept. It reminds me of when the Glock pistol first came out in the mid 80s. Do you realize how many people said they would never carry a plastic gun now it’s probably the most recognizable popular gun in the world....lol

    I like it.😁
    I was hoping it would sound better than the telecaster...but I am not sure that it does.
    I am a strat kind of guy, I just love the things..so I guess I will go with this one. Was looking for a good acustic anyway...and a good one, Taylor, Martin, etc..will cost all of this one, plus some. For what I have been looking at anyway.
    Thanks bro! Great video, as ALWAYS!
    Peace!

    Thank you for This video but a question: do you try This guitar maybe with a overdrive in clean electric sound? What do you think? Do you use an amplifier for electric guitar or you have two output: one for piezo and one for electric sound?(i think you have a magnetic pick up)
    Let me know please

    Would this be susceptible to feedback when playing in a band? I ask because I have to put a sound hole cover in my Martin with a Fishman aura pickup. But I love this versatility.

  • @superflycatchermtb
    @superflycatchermtb Před 4 lety

    Two questions: 1. What does it sound like unplugged? 2. Does the action, neck and strings play and feel just like a Strat?

    • @BHPOfficial
      @BHPOfficial Před 3 lety

      1. Quiet, it’s like a hollowbody electric maybe a bit louder 2. It’s got 11s on it, way more strat feeling than acoustic feeling. Not worth 2k from my experience playing this at a guitar center.

    Hi great demo man. I am not guitar player so Im really confused by the fact that (on a right handed players instrument) the 1st fret is the furthest to the left while the 1st position on the switch blade is the furthest to the right. Why is that?

    • @ryanlindseyacoustic6992
      @ryanlindseyacoustic6992 Před 4 lety

      It’s all a matter of personal preference. I owned a t5z and ended up returning it. Oddly enough, the electric tones sounded pretty decent, but the acoustic tones were few and meh at best. Also, the same designer for the t5’s has designed these guitars for fender. It seems that Taylor tried to place an emphasis on the electric sounds, while fender is placing an emphasis on the acoustics, but also with very useable electric tones. He has most likely learned from his mistakes on the Taylor series and corrected them on these guitars.

    I like this idea, but $2000 is too much for this. Hard to believe you guys can’t keep them in stock. My local GC always has them hanging on the wall and they told me they don’t sell a lot of them. I just checked Reverb and there’s over 400 currently available there, including 78 of the new Strat model.

  • @arlizan6473
    @arlizan6473 Před 4 lety +2

    These demos range from "well, it's umm...different", to attempts to convince viewers there's great variety to it's dried out rubberband tonal range.....to the most diplomatic apologies. I disagree with our humble host, it sounds most like a used 100 buck Ovation Applause, but at 20 times the cost. What music store would want stock that doesn't sell itself easily enough?

  • @darrenalmeida1382
    @darrenalmeida1382 Před 4 lety

    I am sorry for my opinion, but the guitar needs better aesthetics. Cover the small strange looking sound hole. Keep it a pure modeling guitar without the sound hole or make the hole proportional to the body.
    It does sound pretty good and I see where the the flexibility comes in to play.
    Good video as are all of your videos. Thanks!!!!!!

  • @pjmuck
    @pjmuck Před 4 lety

    Sorry, but I just don't get who these would appeal to. The pickup seems like an afterthought to me. What's the point of calling it a Strat with a single pickup (in the bridge position, which most Strat players rarely use anyway) if you can't actually get Strat sounds out of it? (No 2nd position quack, no neck position, etc). It's a Strat in body shape only. They're also very expensive. And if it's all about versatility, there are other options out there that have been around for years that are vastly more versatile than this: A Variax, a 13 pin to midi guitar, or even fit a Roland GK PUP to your favorite Strat, etc.

    It sounds just like an inexpensive small body guitar with an under saddle transducer, except for the wimpy-ish electric sounds it perports to emulate like a few real electric guitars. 2 grand is extremely wishful thinking. You are a true gear pimp to say that it is a fantastic guitar and rivals a Telecaster. I don't think that I will be watching any more of your reviews. Sorry.
