An Olympia landmark for decades, Great Wave mural reenergized through restoration project.

Painstakingly finishing every detail big and small local artist Austin Davis has worked restoring the landmark “Great Wave” mural that has adorned the west side wall of the Childhood’s End gallery in downtown Olympia, Wa. since 1977. The mural’s creator, well-known regional artist Joe Tougas, has been observing the project, and even has added his expertise by handling some of the fine handwork detailing.
