This interview compared to how everything changed in 2016 is night and day difference. They were respectful at least in this but once the media turned against him you never saw anything like this again
One exception to that is when he called to offer moral support to one of his biggest fans who was dying from cancer at the time. I think CBS (of all networks, I know) aired it in 2018
