This video will detail how to install your Boost Auto Parts towing mirrors onto your 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 or 2010-2018 Ram 2500/3500. This procedure also will work for 2018+ Classic body style Ram trucks. This is for Boost Auto Parts Dodge tow mirrors without our Power Fold Upgrade Kit (for vehicles originally equipped with power fold, or manual fold mirrors). If you have Boost Auto Parts fourth generation 2009-2018 Dodge Ram 1500 or 2010-2018 Ram 2500/3500 tow mirrors with our Power Fold Upgrade Kit (manual fold mirrors originally upgrading to power fold) please reference a separate video. This video includes tow mirrors with running light and signal. The video covers the mirror mounting as well as the wiring for all of the lighting features. The video covers the mirror installation as well as wiring.

These mirrors fit 4th generation 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 Trucks (including EcoDiesel) as well as 4th generation 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 3500 Trucks (including Cummins diesel).

I called the dodge dealer, they wanted $860 for driver side mirror. I ordered a pair of mirrors for from Boost auto parts for my 2013 Ram 2500 at a cost of $399.80. Took about 40 minutes to install each side by myself, would have been longer except this video was spot on and a big help. So literally got 2 quality mirrors for less than half the price of one mirror from Dodge.

@@seanlacey5592 Yes the driver side power and heated mirror from Dodge dealer. I have had these Boost for a couple months now and I am very happy. The mirror defroster works as well as the small courtesy light and directional on mirror.

Will these fit my truck if i originally had non tow mirrors but want to change to tow mirrors?
Absolutely - that is what these are designed to achieve.
I’ve had my mirrors with the switchbacks for just over a year. The switchbacks work as they should when I remote start the vehicle. Once my key is used they shut off. The 2 fuses in the fuse tap are not blown. Any TS’ing thoughts?

Ive got a 2017 ram powerwagon, I've heard that if you change out the mirrors from oem to aftermarket it can cause a CEL. Somthing to due with the ambient air temp sensor and will cause the truck to go into limp mode. Is anyone able to speak on that id like to switch but am on the fence due to this issue, Thanks
Our mirrors have the ambient temperature sensor in them, so you will not encounter this issue if you purchase our mirrors. Many of the cheap aftermarket mirrors on the market with subpar quality don't have it and cause that issue, but NOT with BOOST AUTO.

@@SillyGooser No you don't need to do that if doing a power folding upgrade. We have an aftermarket wired upgrade available no (4/4/22) - and will be releasing a wireless upgrade that utilizes the factory switch within 60 days from now.
@@boostautoparts Right on, I just couldn't find on the site when I briefly looked and a wireless idea will definitely help save time so that's a nice idea
if my truck didn't come with the factory features of the puddle light or the blinker light how can I activate those features for then to work with the new Towing side mirrors?

Where does the orange wire with connector come from on the truck side? I just installed my mirrors and got the running light wires but don't see any orange wires with connectors in my truck
What year is your truck? The orange wires come with the mirrors and get tapped to a different location depending on the year of the truck.
@@boostautoparts 2015. I saw that we have to tap it into the fuse and I even found the fuse for it. But I only have the female connector that was sent to me with my order. I don't see a male connector anywhere on the truck to plug it into
