  • In this video, I show you how I fixed my Kenmore front load washer that was making a loud grinding noise and giving me an LE error code. I tried replacing the bearings and the washer spinner support, but that didn’t solve the problem. Then I used Bing GPT, a tool that helps diagnose washer problems, and it told me that the culprit was the hall sensor. The hall sensor is a small piece that attaches to the motor stator assembly and detects the speed and direction of the drum. I ordered a new hall sensor from Amazon for only $9 and replaced it myself. It was a simple and cheap fix that saved me from hiring a professional. Watch the video to see how I did it and how you can do it too. You’ll be surprised by how easy it is to fix your washer and get rid of that annoying grinding noise.

    Thank you very much!!!!
I would have never thought it was a hall sensor. Saved me a lot of money.
Took me about an hour to fix. I got mine for 7 bucks. I was ready to buy another washer.
    Great video!!!

This is amazing and worked perfectly! Sears Kenmore Elite Front loader Model No. 796.4107. All bolts/nuts are metric. Hull Sensor replaced. Was pretty tough getting main drum bolt off. Removing Stator off splined hub was complicated by strong magnets. Once I figured that out it went smoothly. Thank you again!! Great video. 😀

Glad it helped. I did so many things before I found the problem.
