I'm the winner of this beautiful table and I am so incredibly grateful for the amazing work Morley put into creating this special piece. It fits perfectly in my home and am looking forward to enjoying it for years to come 😍😍😍! Thank you so much Morley!
Congrats! It looked so great inside when he delivered it to you! Enjoy the gorgeous table
Thank you😁
Congratulations 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾🎉
That table matches so well inside your house holy crap
It looked perfect in your space! 💖💖
Man that table fit the space perfectly!
Just love the fact that you don't have a big fancy workshop like a lots of the dudes on here and thousands of pounds of equipment. Kitchen table, improvised tools and mistakes that haven't been cropped to show that nothing ever goes wrong 👌Oh and some good funky music 🤛
Even though you have a running time I don't think many people realize how much work goes into something like this! Good job Morley 👏🏻
No wonder everyone loves you here. You are so clear and engaging, joyful and interesting. You make it all understandable for us non-builders here too. Thanks for inviting all of us into your creative processes. You do genius work and the tally at the end of time and costs is really helpful too. By the way, love your hair.
Thank you so much!
@@MorleyKert thank you for being such a good, cool, amazing guy.
I think it’s the charisma, good vibes I get from this guy that makes watching this videos pleasant. Love your work, that table is awesome.
I'm very thankful that you give new woodworkers and DIYers your entire working process and cost breakdown. It's such a nice personal touch that you do to your videos that make your content always exciting to watch. Thank you for making the videos that you make!
You’re the only channel where I’m finding myself watching the entire 20 minute video from start to Finnish. Great job man love your work and your channel
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks for watching 😊
Me too, every single video from start to finish, some of them I have watched 2, 3, even 5 times over. Love it man 😊
Great table! It looks small enough, but in the future maybe consider adding some recessed c-channels in the bottom to keep the slab from warping. Also, pretty sure that wood is Spalted Maple 😎
I came to say I believe it’s spalted maple also
Great work! Just to save you some time on sanding. Rubio only requires you to go to a 180 grit sanding. Spread it out and let it cure for 24 hours, you can go over it with a polishing pad (maroon pad), do a second coat, and its done! Love these videos.
Some 🍬 🍬 for the work! Looking forward some 3D printed solution soon!
Appreciate all your content. Thanks for being awesome.
I love watching Canadian makers. And woodworking is my new/new again love. Watching your videos brightens my day and inspires me. I love that you use unusual materials that might otherwise go to waste. I myself upcycle old copper wire from construction sites into woven wire jewelry, so that aspect of your work really resonates with me. Also, you're practically local (London ON).
You’re skills are really improving
I like your use of new tools, you inspired me to make a charcuterie board finishing it up this weekend!
That’s awesome! Thanks for watching 😊
Wow it fit the space perfectly! Congrats Araba, your living room and table looks beautiful!!!
Thank you! I love it😆
Morley my BF’s 13 yr old and I have binge watched you while recouping from a cold. You are BY FAR our absolute Favorite woodworking, surviving 7 days in the wild, van living, adventure having, ingenious solution finding CZcams personality. We’ve agreed you have a great attitude and are fun to listen to. We’ve watched some other interesting table makers who are fine but don't come anywhere near your educational and entertaining qualities. Then we saw this!! Your humanity, humility, humor coupled with your generosity is awesome! Thank you for setting such a great example
Thank you so much!
I love watching you doing the work! Just having your videos on the background while i'm working or even while i'm having a lunch sorta relief my stress about this working life. I love how you're so excited about your work and it's just inspiring for me. Keep on a good work Morley! And congratulations OceanAI for the new table 🎉
Great work Morley! I am all business myself but seeing you give this away as a gift was really touching.
I love your work and I think it is awesome that you do things for others. Your use of reclaimed wood is very commendable. I am very happy when I see that you have a new video up. Thank you.
Andddd then 1500 hours of setting up camera, filming, moving camera, and editing 😂 great job I appreciate the openness of showing your little mistakes and frustrations.
I am from the Netherlands (Europe) and watch all your videos and love them. Whatever you make, you do it with passion. And yes, sometimes things go wrong, but you learn from that.
Greetings from me and also to your great help if you need a few extra hands.
I wish I knew your channel before I want to Canada. Went to Toront last year right about this time of the year. Loved Toronto, maybe someday I move there. Like your videos very Much Morley. Wish you made more of those videos you go to a place and fix strangers thing with 3D printed Parts!!! Wish you the best!!
Thank you so much! More 3D printed repairs are definitely coming soon, it was just a bit tricky with the winter and the move.
Hey! Just wanted to let you know that I really Like every videos you make! From scratch to beautiful furniture! Bonne journée Morley!
I just found your videos and love your ideas especially using old pieces. Thank you for showing your easy way to understand this process and continue to update us with new projects.
Wish I watched this video a few days ago when I came out. I'm in Rochester NY, and would of happily drove 3 hours to Ontario.
Great piece of work, Morley! Working with slabs is very technical so props to you! Tuning in from the UK
Love the work that you do Morley! Thanks for your videos
Your a very generous person morley I love your channel and you make unique and very artistic pieces that are modern but rustic
All the way from here in oregon i wanted to say great job with all of your content, i am taking all the free pallets that i get from work and making cool projects, made my first set of shelves that i gifted to my family for christmas. Thank you for the inspiration and making me feel like i can do this.!!! your the man.
Beautiful table 😊 and what a beautiful gesture to give it away! Keep up the great work👍
morley your work is just sick!!! you knocked it out of the park!!! i found you by chance and fell in love with everything you do!!! i can’t wait to show my wife your channel. My wife rehabs furniture so she will love your channel. your fan from Texas!!
Great video! Love to see your progression as a maker!!
woodworking AND a onewheel in the back? love it!
Nice work Morley. Awesome table, Love the idea of giving it away.
Thanks man!
It turned out so beautiful!
Great use of a wood piece that can't be used as it was (probably not structural unless it was combined with something else, like resin) It turned out amazing!
Thank you!
After watching your video, I ordered that moisture meter and that drill block. Thanks for the info. Great video.
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching :)
Awesome work!
great build and another great video.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. The end result was really beautiful. Tbh when you said you would give it away, I thought that you would give it to your mom. But the way you did it now is even better.. You should frame her letter and hang it in your workshop.
That was a great thing you done giving the table to a fan well done you
Table looks incredible
I love the content creators' positivity and "can do" attitude!
Hey Morley, I love watching your videos and also find your 3D print one's fascinating. You are very talented and inspiring. Keep up the great work and keep making videos. From Brae, Melbourne, Australia. 👍🙂
That's awesome you gave it away. It's por ably her favorite piece of furniture in the entire house. Handmade and gifted personally from it's creator.
Love what you're doing! Entrepreneurial force
Great Job!
Awesome job ❤❤❤
Probably your best one yet! Fantastic work!
Thank you so much!
instead of using glue to fill bubbles you can use uv resin its quick and no big invest and you can put same pigment in it like in your epoxy resin. as always great table! nice work!
I am pretty sure that it's spalted maple!😀such a beautiful table! keep it up Morley!!
Nice build! I just finished a coffee table very much like yours… I used a spalted elm slab, and it looks very much like your slab.
I love watching this guy's videos and I'm pretty early for them now😄
Amazing project 👍🏻
Thank you so much!
great project, small suggestions for the legs:
wildlycommon "axis" or plane, i.e. trace out the lines of the legs on the back of the table, so the diagonally opposing legs are in a straight line.
noticeable
Hiya Morley wr are viewing from the UK totally love what you do with your projects using pallets recycle wood that would no doubt being landfill excellent ❤
Your wife and mother must be so proud of you. Watching your videos inspire me to want to take up woodworking again.
I'm so glad you didn't fill or cover up the worm/bug holes. They are some of my favorite patterns to find in nature, specifically the little maze type ones on limbs.
omg you have that table away on my birthday!😂 that’s so cool. i’m really glad she likes it, amazing job morley!!
Found your channel by accident, and I absolutely love your work.. I subscribed and hit the notification bell 😂😊
Great job! It is said you should tithe 10% of your income. It maintains the flow of prosperity. Given the love you put into your work you should receive 10 fold back on you gift.
That ladies house is beautiful. That table looked perfect in there. She'll love it!
Beautiful table and that was amazing you gave it away 💖 You should get Lasix, I had Lasix 7 years ago, I'd have it again if I needed it
I can't wait for in the future when Morley has a proper woodworking shop! Love the channel!
❤️❤️
stay up, king 👑
I've used regular clear packing tape. It's cheaper, holds just as well but comes off easier. Give it a try
New sub great work man you inspired this Tile setter to do something with a walnut slab
Lovely table and super nice way to end the video by gifting it to a local person.
great video as always, Morley! also, thank you for listing the music used in your videos! 🤙🏽
Thank you! It's awesome to hear that someone appreciates the track listing :)
Great video!! I live in Orillia!! I was just surprised that you mentioned in the Instagram post😂
Beautiful table
I love the grain marks that look like an old 16th century treasure map
Possible idea to reduce void clean up. Bead of silicone around the void, flat cardboard on top and tape the edges of card. I’ve done it for a different purpose so maybe could work for this
This slab Look awesome after you did Something fromm it👍
Viel Grüße aus Deutschland 🇩🇪
Cross-bracing the legs with interlocking beams of hardwood towards the top would absolutely fix that wobble
Great build Morley! I know you had your hiccups at the end but that work on the slab was well done and the end product looked amazing. Congratulations to the winner of the giveaway!
you make me wanna get back into woodworking
Gorgeous work! 💖 The legs can be reinforced if needed
nice piece of cherry wood. love it !
That's the thing with Epoxy and other finishes - you get stressed when you rough up between coats, or do some sanding that looks a little uneven. When the liquid hits, it just goes away. I had issues with some clear epoxy on 2 knot holes and I had to drill into them, rough up a little bit, vacuum it out and refill. Came out perfectly clear, amazing.
Great job. You might be able to avoid the problem you had with removing the tape if you apply the tape to raw wood and apply the epoxy to the tape side later in your process.
Love you're energy. I wonder if that one leg could be turned a little to stabilize.
when you cut the wood with your track saw, the edge had the look of ambrosia maple to me. its definitely a beautiful wood.
It is maple. There is some nice spalting on it.
The amount of him slapping or patting the table every clip lol
First time watcher, new sub. I really enjoyed this video! Like, actually… the ending was wholesome AF. We need more of that in this world, especially these days. ✌️💪
Thank you so much!
Love your channel, as a newbie woodworker, which tools would you recommend to start with? I've found myself buying some old wooden furnitures that needs a little fixture that I would love to get fixed.
Love it
I would without a doubt contact you to have a chance of winning that super fine table, but I live all the way up in Sweden.. Great to see a new upload anyhow!
THIS WHY A LOT OF PPL USE A MAPP GAS TORCH ON THE TOP TO HELP BRING THE AIR OUT OF THE EPOXY. THAT SPALETED WOOD LOOKS NICE THOUGH
Man, that ✨chatoyancy✨!
That’s a new word for me! Yes, beautiful!
I've been making river keychains for a bit (no sales, but that's another story 🙂) and discovered early on that sheathing tape sucks for anything you want non-permanent. I moved to cheap, clear, packing tape, but in the end, cheap, dollar store green painters tape works *much* better. Even direct pours using the tape as the mold sides, and it peels off the resin clean. The cheap adhesive doesn't leave near as much residue as brand name painter's tape. Just my two cents 🤷♂ Love the content, and thanks for the tip on the drill block. Never seen one, but I can darn sure use it.
Thanks for the tip!
the music playin kinda slaps btw
Overly happy people usually annoy me, but you sir have won me over. Nice work.
since this video is a mushy positivity fest , i'll chime in. I found your videos by way of the "new to you" tab on youtube. It's basically content outside my algorithm and it was one of the videos where you do free repairs for your community. I went to your channel and saw all of your other videos and you were very open and positive about your making process. My best friend gets very anxious when she has to think about things and shes told me your videos in particular are a big help and shes looking into woodworking/ ,maker spaces now. keep being gr8 and forgive my poor grammar, english is my first language but i dont care that much :)
Sick song! 🥳❤🔥💃 I'm a Dynamite. Feel like u'd be fun to party with. Great attitude & great work.
Looks like myrtlewood. My grandpa had a myrtlewood tree that fell and it had that cool fungus lines looks identical.
My suggestion have been to epoxy in some threaded but sim the under side or custom metal tapped metal plates so the legs were attached by screwing bolts into threaded metal rather than wood.
Plz don’t stop making videos bro
I won’t!
@@MorleyKert i work with my dad and pa and they build things but I’m a helper basically. I just turned 18 but I’m going to start building custom dog houses and bird houses to put up on my dads shop soon! Thank you for your awesome videos bro I love them all! 💪🏼
@@typowers101 That's awesome! Good luck with your builds and thanks for watching :)
Hey, I would LOVE to be able to make legs like those, for these Typeset-Drawer coffee tables I'm building. Do you have a set of plans for those you'd be willing to sell us?
Hi Morley, can you do a bit more of 3d printing and F360 tutorials and tips? You had helped me a ton! Fan from the Philippines!!!!
3D printing/F360 video coming this weekend!
