      yoga and meditation(still being used) are also gifts of Ayurveda from India it wasn't created by a white guy in la studio
      Ayurveda also discusses healthy diet, exercise and treatment for sickness along with multiple type of surgeries treatment and prevention of Disease help in childbirth and care of patients.

    I also used to have this plant survival guide. It gave a pic, identification, and info for each plant. And the USE section of every one opened with "the Native Americans were known to use this to treat..." sprinkled with modern and practical uses. Can't say when, but we definitely figured out some stuff.

    Opium isn't the active ingredient in morphine. Morphine is the active ingredient in opium, hence why it was extracted and used on it's own. Infact morphine is one of many active alkaloids in opium, morphine typically is around 10 percent by weight, codeine and papaverine are present in smaller amounts within opium along with others such as thebane which is used to create other semi synthetic opioids similar to codeine and morphine. It's a fairly basic error but an honest one, thanks for the content.

      Hinduism and is considered as savage and backward by them in the west they will never acknowledge any ancient Indian achievement in science ,medicine ,math and astronomy
      they think British brought language and culture to India and we were running around naked eating each other before they came and civilized us ,most of what westerns know about India is either from records of christen missionaries and poverty porn.
      even when there are ancient writing available on it their image of India is people pooping in streets and people doing stupid and superstitious things they are actively trying to separate yoga form India and Hinduism
      if you even mention that the first plastic surgery was conducted with the help of translation of Sushruta Samhita or that many scientist used translated Sanskrit texts on math's and science for they projects and helped them achieve greatness.

    I think bronze came into use for ancient medicincal tools because everything was made out of bronze... In the Bronze age they didn´t have access to iron so what to metal to choose from? And maybe they just saw later it´s better to take the old bronze tools than the "modern" iron or steel tools. Thats not surprising for me. But anyway good and interesting video!

    • @Tacklepig
      @Tacklepig Před 4 lety

      I doubt it's that simple, tbh. Bronze wasn't "used for everything" in the bronze age, it was a pretty valuable material and basically the cutting edge of technology at the time.
      Though obviously it is true that people didn't understand why bronze worked better, they just saw that it did have better results and stuck with it. Lots of traditions and superstitions develop that way.
