How did that hypnotize last so long? Those dragons must have acted 4 times within that 1.8turn duration

Just high spell power - there is nothing besides that which impacts the duration of this spell. This also may have been before some nerfs to puppet - its a pretty old patch compared to what is available today.

That was a potent cast... but it was a really uneven fight which made it slightly less exciting. Strangely enough I felt really self concious about that army on that map because I could not afford anything more and half of these troops were raised by necromancy but turns out it was sufficient.
