술예절은 어설프게 선배들한테 배우기 보단 아예 어른들한테 배우는 게 좋고, 설령 그 예절이라는 게 꼰대짓 같더라도 일단 알아 두기만 해도 사회생활 할 때 편합니다. 왜냐 요즘 많이 줄었다 해도 과하게 따지는 사람은 분명 있는데 알고 있으면 적당히 대처하고 피할 수 있으니까요 .

The Korean drinking culture is very fascinating :) I couldn't handle tequila but I'm curious how soju will tastes. People say the grape and peach flavoured ones are nice.
In "Queen of the ring" with Kim Seulgi and Ahn Paul, I also saw the technique of putting an teabag in a soju bottle :D

첫잔 받으라는 이유 10대말~20초 나이대인 사람들한테 첫잔은 버리는 잔이라는 말도 있는데 첫잔이 뭔가 기분탓인지는 몰라도 좀 불안하고 쓴맛이 느껴짐.어르신 같은 경우에는 막걸리는 아래로 갈수록 진해지니까 막걸리 같은 경우에는 거의 반풀잔 때려도 ㄹㅇ 순삭이여서 할아버지가 어릴때 술 주실때도 알려주셨읍니다.
*개인적인 가정사?에서 나온 거여서 남들과 다를 확률은 100%에 가까울 수 있습니다*

WTAF?!? Can someone please explain to me what this is supposed to mean?!? Unless this is some kind of Korean to English translation error, then there is seriously something wrong with the creaters/producers/editors of this video. I mean, as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong) there isn't a single person in all of human history that doesn't age like this. (Annually, becoming a year older on the 1st of January each year). Which would also mean that everyone in all of human history (for as long as there has been a legal drinking age) was able to start drink on the same day, whatever the legal drinking age for their particular country happens to be. So what exactly is the point of this statement?! The Only reason to make this statement is that if Everyone involved in this video believed that there was actually the possibility for human beings to age differently than one year at a time, and becoming one year older each January 1st. It would be horrifying enough to think that even ONE person believed this, but everyone involved in the making of this video had to see this statement before it was released, so this means that there are however many people that were involved in the making of this video who believe this?!?! I'm so very curious to know what Other way than this that these people believe human beings are capable of aging. This statement becomes even more terrifying with the addition of everyone can start drinking legally on the same day. This implies that they believe that humans (somewhere) age differently on a daily basis as well, bedside if everyone who turned 20 was legally allowed to drink then obviously they could all start drinking on the same day unless there was the possibility for people to age differently on a daily basis. So these people believe that there are human beings who not only age differently on an annual basis than people from Korea, but also on a daily basis as well!?! 😱

i cannot tell you why this happens, but yes, in korea, EVERYONE in the country ages on January 1st. So babies that have late birthday maybe only a couple of months old, but have turned "1". No, people in the video and in korea aren't stupid enough to think that a 2 month baby is the same as an actually 1 year old baby, but it is a custom that's been around for a very long time. We still celebrate our actual birthdays but as birth-days, but not as the day we age. that's why people will often ask what year you're born in, rather than how old are you. The reason it was added to the video was because they asked when they started drinking. Yes, I know. Its weird, and kind of backwards, but there's no need to be horrified about it, its just different.

@@hyejoonfb I'm not horrified about it. There's nothing I love more than learning about other cultures and customs. I particularly love learning new languages. Right now I know some Romanian, Russian, Japanese, and Spanish. I am fluent in French and English. I have been to about 25 different countries, and I usually didn't want to come back to the US. Believe me I am not one of the xenophobic Americans. To me it just didn't sounds like what they were saying made sense. If you turn 21 on a particular day then That should be the day you are able to legally drink. If not then how do you decide what time before a person turns 21 to allow them to drink. For instance, someone's birthday is on March 12, so are you saying that they can start drinking on January 1st of that year? If that was the case then whoever has a birthday on December 31st would be able to start drinking a year early??? See, it doesn't make sense.
I can't tell you enough how much I actually appreciate you taking the time to write so much. Unfortunately even After you wrote do much I still don't understand, Hahaha. I'm just an idiot. Actually it was east asian age, used in Korea(Both South and North), China, Japan, Mongol, Manchuria, and Vietnam-Confucianism culture-. As calandar was not perfect at ancient time, so it was natural to count the age using seasons(You can think calandar system as BC/AD)Nowdays, all countries without South Korea abolished old age counting system, and South Korea also use international age system when it is about legal things, east asian age system is for day life and drinking, gambling, adult movie... etc.

@@jinbiezel683 As korean government dont accept 'korean age' as a legal age, so they express "The January 1st when year of someones' age is(and will be) turned into 19-you can buy a liquor, cigarette, 19+ movie tickets..." in a bill for the protection of juveniles.
