@@kennyhill3140 yes, she was the most stunning. but all of the are model beautiful with that sparkle of youth and conventionally attractive bodies though. i wish they had the confidence to wear these things, even if they chose not to, because i believe women should be allowed to dress modestly if they WANT TO -- hell however we want to -- without getting shamed by society for it. shame is learned and taught to us by the worlds we grow up in. it makes me sad that they all seem so insecure when they are all so beautiful in their own way.
like i said we should be allowed to dress modestly or cover up and not be sexy if we want to, but that should be a true choice, not something society makes us feel like we must do.

As a 20 year odl American, everyone probably views us as bad. But that's not fair to us, it's a society thing. Just like how Korea and other countries give into societal standards, I have been shamed and looked down upon because of trauma and insecurities, I was not confident to wear stuff like this, so I would've wanted to wear more covering clothing. Not everyone is like that in the US, but it's not right for societies to shame anyone for the bodies we were blessed to have. We shouldn't feel like we need to cast away everything and wear boxes. That helps nothing with confidence, unless you're into that. In many cases, no.

editing this to add: I feel like a lot of y’all are taking the “everyday people” out of context. how you’re adding words or taking them away from what i actually mean is beyond me. But when i say everyday people i mean citizens of SK that are not in the entertainment industry. they’re not in girl groups or actresses. they are everyday people that walk around and live their lives privately. putting aside america or western culture as a whole , what i said is that TO ME! it puts in perspective how different Korean culture with everyday people is in comparison to what i am used to. jesus.

It's why in a lot of J fashion and K fashion you see a lot of very short skirts by western standards (with safety shorts), but most tank tops are layered over or under something with a sleeve. Just like the west, things are slowly changing to accept women being less traditionally modest without being sexualised, but it will always be up to the individual to deem what is too much or too little to be comfortable for them.

You grow up hearing who's ugly or yourself being ugly, or all kinds of nitpicking appraisals of all the people around you, just like how people like to do so with education, wealth and what not. Beauty has become a very strong social standard, and people just accept it as a reality, and get obsessed with beauty to adapt to the harsh reality.

As Indonesian (wait, there are too many cultures in Indonesia. I'd just say in a part of Indonesia lol), I rarely see women with visible chest. Showing neck and arms and considered normal, while showing collarbones is considered revealing. If your chest is visible, even just a little, you're usually considered as a degenerate. And for the lower part, I rarely see anyone who wears anything shorter than knee-length pants/skirt. But Indonesia is really rich in cultures, so different parts of Indonesia will have different cultures (for example, you'll see a lot of difference between Bali and Aceh, from the way they are dressed to their buildings).

It's nice to see cultures different to your own. Here in the UK you will see girls wear these dresses to dinners, clubs, special events, etc. The leopard and purple dresses can even be worn for outings during the summer too. I think its also down to personal preference as well though. I like my clothes to be tight and revealing hehe but I know girls who prefer to be more modest.

I hate when Korean people share their experiences and people say things like "but in kpop, the ladies wear short things too" yeah that's true but it doesn't reflect the general people
Even in the US or any other country, what celebrities wear and what regular people wear are different

out of all the dresses i think the blue was the most revealing... like i won't even feel comfortable wearing that but all other dresses were really pretty!! it was also amazing hearing what the most revealing thing they've worn was and comparing it to what i've worn. It definitely comes down to personal preference and culture but where i'm from, revealing clothes are worn on a daily basis, especially since i live in the caribbean and it's usually so hot out!!

You all looked so lovely in those dresses. Even the blue dress looked cute over the white shirt, even if it's not meant to be worn like that. Honestly, you all looked great, and most of the outfits were quite tame by British standards - I certainly wore less than that on a night out when I was younger! The blue dress on it's own was probably a bit much for a normal night out, but the others were fine. This was a very wholesome video! ❤️

As a European I must point out that none of these are even that revealing here but a lot of women also tend to dress extremely casual when not going on a party or a date in Europe, like tracksuits, jeans, hoodies is whatever you are comfortable in.

My daughter just went to Homecoming (a Fall dance that happens the Saturday after the first home football game of the season) and the girls either wore a style like the green dress or something short like the purple one with a different neckline. I went to the same dance in 1985 wearing a floor-length gown!

I'm from Spain. Based on the style I usually see here, those dresses are completely fine.
I want to add that here, the green dress would be used more for a formal event / graduation even and the one with the tiger patron would be considered a long dress, not even that sexy.

  • @sleepy_dobe

The ladies are all gorgeous. Especially MJ in her green dress. Really absolutely stunning. Like an entertainment industry celebrity attending a gala awards dinner. Minji looks way more glamourous without the jacket too.
I think Chacha's dress was too big for her. Perhaps one size smaller would be perfect and she wouldn't have to wear her shirt inside, provided she's not as shy as she was in this clip. And Youngju really needs to let her hands down more. Stop covering up your chest. The dress didn't reveal that much and you look fabulous. Walk with confidence down the street wearing that and I guarantee you everyone will be thinking how beautiful you look.
