In the clip, Ashanti's mom, Tina Douglas, checks in on her and Ashanti responds, 'I'm gonna need about nine months.' ET has also learned Ashanti and Nelly are engaged.

Nelly does have a point about time. It lets you mature and with that also comes introspection and growth. I think many people would have happy relationships with their exes after a decade apart.
