Finidi Realised He Would Be Made A Scapegoat for Nigeria's Failure to Qualify for WC - Ojugbana

  • From Finidi George's testimony and the letter he wrote to the NFF, it is clear that was his rationale. The timing of the announcement of a technical director by the NFF was very faulty. It is unethical for a player or a coach to go to the press, exposing the misgivings and ill feelings within the squad. What occured between Victor Osimhen and Finidi George was a sign of a bigger problem

Oga Charles you are wrong. The Uefa pro license is higher than the 'A' license, it's the last badge. Finidi has an A license from the Spanish Federation which qualifies him to coach club and country. If Finidi had done the pro license, he would have been taught two important modules in media management, an aspect of elite management that he clearly lacks.

My dear Mr. Ojugbena, South African best players are based in South Africa, while Nigeria's best players are based in Europe. Our best home-based players leave for Europe in a twinkle of an eye for greener pastures (nobody blames anyone for seeking better life), so thehome based talents are being depleted on daily basis. Argentina and Brazil have a national team based on foreign-based players and they have won the world cup many times. This home-based national team will not work in this country just like in Brazil and Argentina because Nigeria is an exporter of football talents just like Brazil and Argentina. The national team is an assembly of the country's best wherever they reside. Let us get this into our brains.

It's the mass exodus of Brazilian players into Europe that's killing their football. They've lost their identity and have stopped winning.

The South Africa analogy doesn't resonate. All South African best players play in their local league because it's lucrative enough for them. Nigeria's best players are in Europe, just like Brazil and Argentina even though they have well organized leagues with sufficient talents.

NIGERIA FOOTBALL PROBLEM IS BIGGER THAN FINIDI OR OSIMHEN.
First it was South Africa that came with 8 of thier players playing for one club that plays in their local league.
4 from another club the rest selected from their local league. Does Finidi and Nigerians know this important info before a big game? Big NO!
Nigerians think football is all about assembling second tier players from abroad three days before an important match like the world cup qualifiers.
Assembling players from abroad doesn't guarantee you a cohesive team or wins.
Indeed, I saw the time of the match publicised and didn't bother to see the match because I knew Nigeria would lose.
I know how solid a Beninoise team is, any day, any time. Benin Republic, I dare say, has a better and more serious approach to football administration.
Never mind the size of that country. Any Nigerian team about to play a Beninoise MUST be ready for a game of solid football.
This kpa-kpa-kpa rubbish football has been reduced to in Nigeria is not something you approach a Beninoise team with.
I'll bet you on any day that a team assembled in Cotonou will beat these Lilliputuans from a collection of foreign countries we call Super Eagles today.
I saw them before we played GHANA for the world cup qualifiers in Qatar. Then in Cote de Voire during the cup of nations and said to everyone that this so-called team will NEVER make it to the World Cup. They were there blaming Iwobi and OSIMHEN!
    Blind bats!
Do you think coach Pasero ran away for nothing when he wasn't sacked?
You know, what to watch for, when a ship is tanking water, and idiotic humans dance on the upper deck?
Keep an eye on the rats. You see them jumping out of the ship and swimming away because they don't want to go down to the watery grave the vessel would soon be.
I pitied Finidi George when he was appointed.
There's nothing to be done. The patch-patch thing we've been doing will no longer work. It's the end of the road for Nigerian football.
This lazy approach of abandoning the local league for imports from God knows where, will not run forever.
This is just the beginning. After all, Ethiopia was once the main footballing country in Africa, ditto Congo-Kinshasa.
Make dem nor concentrate to improve the local league!
Make dem dey go borrow second tier players/ children from abroad!
    WE GO HEAR MKPASAMKPASA! 😀😀😎😎😀😎😎
Nothing lasts forever. Let's now concentrate on cricket or basketball.
    😡😡😡😡⚽

What the hell is the indecipline with Osimhen defending himself? When has it been okay for a coach to insinuate and badmouth a player, and the player doesn't have the right to defend himself. I don't know what is it with you folks in Nigeria. Because you're the boss, it doesn't give you the right to abuse anyone. You all make it sound as if the NFL/NFF is doing Osimhen a favor. The bonuses you're paying him is not up to 1/3 of his club salary. So Nigeria is not doing Osimhen a favor. He can do without playing for Nigeria. You should all go Google and research Finidi's qualifications. Finidi doesn't have his certification as a coach. How long as he retired from being a professional footballer? What has stopped him from obtaining his certification? If he's capable of reading and writing in English. Finidi wouldn't be able to work anywhere in the West as a coach. Now, Oseni, would you be able to work at your job without a degree? So don't minimize qualifications in any job, especially a football coach.

13:57 Answer to the question; because if Nigeria is stupid enough to do that, with this version of NPFL, the Super Eagles will never qualify for an AFCON or even WAFU ever again, let alone a World cup. How many of our teams are regular challengers for the CAF Champions League or even the CAF Confederations cup? When was the last time we made any waves on the continental stage with any of our clubs? Which of our clubs are the "big clubs" in a league where one person can win the league one season and finish mid-table the next? How many of our current clubs are consistently challenging the top of our league? The problem with our league is that the teams are not quality teams, none of our teams are strong enough to match the top teams in South Africa. Which of our teams can match the power of, say, Mamelodi Sundowns for instance? Our league is a joke and needs to be improved upon with quality coaching and solid youth competitions to hone new talent amongst many other things like improved data analytics and medical care of players. Until then, Nigeria has no reason to fill our team with league players, especially as the ones we do call can't even break through the current side.
Edit: And to make my point, our league leaders Enugu Rangers lost 13 times in the league and still won!? 13 times!? If City tried that in the Guardiola v Klopp era, there is no way City is winning the league. If Real Madrid tried that, as bad as Barça and Girona have been at times last season, they don't win their league. Yet Enugu Rangers slipped 13 times and still won. My point exactly! Our league is ridiculously weak!

NPFL teams are low class the last time NPFL deserved a chance in SE that was in the days of Enyimba Enyeama Dem when they were wining CAF CHAMpions league back to back then you can be sure there will be talents in that team, Sure Home based come to SE but what is so wrong in Doing it the right way?. Dominate CHAN and win CAF Champions League is that too hard to understande? and that is even the best way because it means our league is improving and we are doing something right but, if we cannot even beat Township Rollers of Botswana what are we debatng this for. Let me tell you about CHAN, CHAN's MVP a senegalese talent is playing in Marseille now and made Senegals national team that root and two other players from Senegal, Go figure why Senegal's tnational team is miles ahead of Nigeria go and look at Senegal Morocco Egypt SA countries with better leagues than Nigeria currently Scowering Europe for Talen of either Dual National decent or some that slipped the cracks like that SA Defender who plays for Romanian Champions. OGA having Players from NPFL in Super Eagles will not improve our league you are lying to yourself it is just a tool for Ex Internationals like Amokachi who likes getting his palm's greaced wit money a chance to make more unjust Money. NPFL PLAYERS the best ones are overseas i.e. Junior Ajayi Stephen Odey, Odion Ighalo, Etebo you name it even Ahmed Musa when did he start making SE, Etebo Nkor?. you people should reason well before you kil our Ball!.. What are Rangers doing in Africa OGA! our League is weak! dd you not watch how slow those NPFL players were they cannot even score goal. Odegbami is a fraud!
Local coahes do not wish well on SE especially class of 94 they do not want players currently to out do them. they come in and fight with our best players, Siasia (Mikel), Oliseh (Enyeama) and Finidi (Osimhen).
HOME BASED MUST DOMINATE CHAN AND CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BEFORE THEY ARE GOOD ENOUGH. SOUTH AFRICA IS DOING THINGS RIGHT THEIR NUCLEAS OF PLAYERS ARE FROM MAMELODI SUNDOWNS, PERRENIAL CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI FINALISIT AND FINALISTS. THEY STILL ARE SEARCHING AND FORCING THIER PLAYERS TO SIGN FOR EUROPE. YOU OLD NFF PEOPLE ARE FAR OFF REALITY.
GET NPFL TO A STADARD WHERE AN 11 vs 11 INTERNATIONAL v HOMEBASED CAN BE PLAYED AND THE RESULT WON"T BE A WHITE WAS,H , GET NPFL TO THE POINT WHERE THEY WON'T EMBARASS US 4-0 AGAINST MEXICO.OGA SUPER EAGLES WILL NOT IMPROVE OUR LEAGUE YOU PEOPLE SHOULD STOP STEALING MONEY FROM THE LEAGUE SO WE CAN IMPROVE IT DOMINATE CHAN AND CAF CHAMPIONS LEGAUE AND SELECT SOME PLAYERS FROM THAT TEAM TO SE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY.
CHASE PLAYERS AND STOP NOTIFYING MEDIA BEFORE THEY AGREE LIKE YOU DID SAKA AND EZE. GO AND PERSUADE OLISE YOU PEOPLE WILL NOT LISTEN GO AND PERSUADE TOSIN ADARABIOYO YOU PEOPLE WILL NOT LISTEN YOU WILL SAY THEY SHOULD COME AND BEG NIGERIA LOL THEN WHEN THEY MAKE ENGLAND SQUAD AND TURN OUT AS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD YOU PEOPLE WILL STILL REMAIN ARROGANT WHILE ACCEPTING THE PLAYERS WHO ONLY HAVE NIGERIA TO FALL BACK ON BECAUSE THEY CAN'T MAKE ENGLAND SQAUD!.
NFF AND PEOPLE LIKE THIS OLD MAN AND THIER REASONING WILL CRIPPLE NIGERIAN FOOTBALL

Ask yourself why do Nigeria players leave Nigeria for a country like Sudan.
Because Sudan has a league comparable with what you have in some European league.
South Africa how many of their players plays in Europe? But they have a league comparable to some European leagues.
Use your home base players and see if you can secure a draw in the qualifying matches.
