- Hello Everyone, thanks for checking out ToolTeK_MD! In this video we go over an easy method to remove those stubborn stripped out Hex Bolts! In this particular case, I was working on a motor mount for a Chevy Cavalier which I had to do because the old one was shot and I needed a strong upper motor support upon dropping the subframe. That project led us to this one, and as you would guess completing this one will lead us to the next. Stay tuned for a thorough video about dropping and replacing the subframe in a 2001 Chevy Cavalier! I hope this video helps someone, and if it does kindly give a thumbs up and leave a comment letting me know! Thanks for watching! Subscribe!

StoryDTechtive Thank you for the positive feedback! Happy to hear that you enjoyed the video!
Thanks for the video man! I'm going to try this on a stripped hex screw that is on an arbor securing a squirrel cage; it's part of an exhaust fan on a piece of machinery. Before I try removing it though, I am going to soak it a bit with some penetrating lubricant. I'll hit the stripped hex screw a few days with the lubricant and then try out this method with a torx bit.
Again, thanks for the video!
Thank you for the comment! So glad that you found the video to be helpful. penetrating oil will definitely help! I recommend PB Blaster. It always works great whenever I use it.
This was great. Worked well, though my old drill broke after trying to break the screw free. Finished it up with a ratchet and it backed right out. Thanks man!

Happened to me hopefully it works
Could tac weld a bolt to it possible, if had a welder.
They can be a pain in the neck. I have to apply some heat to a flush mount tapered allen bolt. It's corroded so I'm going to make it and the surrounding area red then douce it with water before driving a torx head in like you did. Thanks
Another idea is to drive the head around with a chisel and hammer. On the vehicle or in a vise is obviously more effective. Thanks
Grear video. Can you use a normal drill instead of the impact drill?
dang just gotta shove it in there danggg
