- I recently got into the Harry Potter Trading Cards from way back in 2001. One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that a viewer sent a couple of booster packs to me a few years ago, they're currently in the safe :)
I'm glad I got all the common/uncommon cards, now to get all the rares :P - Zábava

I absolutely loved these as a kid!!! I remember my brother participating in local card tournaments on weekends. haha. It was quite the thing when it was starting up, but I don’t think it had too much success. Maybe five or six years after release, these cards were always in stock in discount shops for about 50¢ a pack; I ended up with a nearly complete Quidditch set and quite a bit of the Diagon Alley set. The Hogwarts base set and the Chamber of Secrets sets were hardly available. My parents had me clean out my old stuff at the start of this year (pandemic cleansing), which led to me throwing out some of the old boxes and promotional items for the cards. Now the game seems to be making a massive comeback, and I wish I would have kept them seeing as the displays don’t seem to exist anywhere any longer.
Oh wow there were tournaments? I don't remember ever seeing anyone play it when I was a kid haha. That sounds incredible! Yeah I have no idea why I recently got into it, it's just interesting to see something that was made around 20 years ago. A shame it didn't keep going for the rest of the books :) I'm really lucky to find all the base set common/uncommon cards off of eBay. Now to collect the 36 rares I need haha

Yeah they completely missed me by when they came out. I must've been around 8 or 9 when they released.
