The riff at 0:56 sounds like slightly altered Heretic Anthem. It's a great parody because it practically *is* Slipknot. Love it!

The issue is, Slipknot lost their identity when Paul and joey left, mostly Paul who was the main song writer, who wrote almost all of their songs.
so thats why they are struggling to replicate this style

As a huge Slipknot fan for about 16 years now (I know how to play most of their songs from first and second album, got their logo as a tattoo, have a corner with a sacrificial altar etc) I must admit this was a real Slipknot style banger!!!
