The 2023 model takes a newly designed filter (15410-K0B-DB1) and the drain plug I’ve been told is torqued to 18 ft lbs, but perhaps that’s when using a new crush washer? Also, as I understand it, the oil filter cover should be torqued to 7 ft lbs.
Dealership parts guy told me the old 15410-KYJ-902 filter is the same as the new 15410-K0A-DB1. The reason they have different numbers is because the new one is now made in India, not Thailand.

What is the other plug with the torx head?
Us engine builders prefer guys to use microfiber rags that dont leave anything behind lint wise. The red/standard material shop cloths are the absolute worst thing you can use to clean anything engine related. Just make it a habit to not use them for anything ❤

It comes with an owners manual not the service manual, and it comes with tools that allow access to the battery that’s about it

Thanks for the video, now I feel better prepared for changing the oil on my 300 🙂 Is it really 21 ft-lbs or 28Nm for the oil drain plug?? I thought it was more like 10Nm? greetings from Austria

@1:39 There are no Phillips screws on any Japanese bikes. They are JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). The screwdrivers are not expensive and are the correct tool. JIS screws are marked by a tiny dot on the screw head. Using a Phillips will mar the metal of the screw. Remove the oil filler cap for faster draining and inspect the o-ring that it sits on.
This is not a Japanese bike. It is made in Taiwan.
The oil will be drained before you get the oil cover off and it uses a gasket not an O-ring honestly, do you have any idea what you were talking about? It does not sound like you have ever worked on a bike before.
