I had no idea this was a set, I just assumed it was a random room all this time. Also, this video makes me realize how so much more goes into producing even a relatively simple clip than one might think. Thanks for sharing!
It's perhaps a lot easier nowadays. The expense of cameras, I mean they couldn't have used a super-8 or a camcorder... But today I am 100% sure there are music videos shot on an iPhone.
This is handy though, since almost no artist today will be given a budget in the way they were in early 90s.

Its 90s. I guess that was professional camera that didn't have sound recording. Sound had to be recorded separately (that's way Clapperboard exists - apart from scene identification they are for sync sound and video latter in post-production) and they just didn't recorded it (why record sound for music video?). This picture was probably recorded only for backstage documentation purposes.
