For those of you in the US, you will witness an incredible event if you see Polly and her band on this tour. The show in September was probably the best gig I have ever attended. I'm 53, and have been going to shows since I was 15. You lucky people!

24 years old and have become a fan of PJ over the recent months. Every album is different, and well performed live. I much prefer her music over whatever plays on the radio today. Ive watched many of her lives on CZcams and man i wish i was able to travel in time to watch her in the 90s and 2000s and even today. Stories from the city, stories from the sea, to bring you my love, Rid of me, Let england shake and i inside the old year dying are just masterpieces, hell all of her albums are masterpieces, just those i listen to the most. She is very lovely and intelligent as is the band whoever she plays with. I need to get a copy of her book Orlam. She is equally just as good at poetry.

@@Radowitzki the way her voice goes deep in “i think im a mother” and “Teclo” to higher pitched in “cmon billy” and “send his love to me” is just ear candy and raw power and raw vocal range. Her collaborations with the likes of aJohn parish and her collaboration and the man himself from the birthday party Nick cave on the track Henry Lee, and even Mick Harvey on let england shake are fantastic

Genius as always. There are aspects of this song that would not have been out of place on "Dry". Simplicity and elegance over a challenging and allusive theme. That is PJ Harvey for 30 years.

Always enjoyed PJ's music so was delighted when this popped up in my recommended videos...and then to get the added surprising great pleasure of seeing Ruth Wilson (after just binge watching the 3rd season of His Dark Materials) who I would watch in anything, including just running endlessly across a field. Actually, reminded me very much of her mesmerizing performance in "Dark River."

Been a fan of PJ ever since 1995 when she appeared on my favorite soundtrack of all time, Batman Forever with the amazing song “One time too many”. Can’t believe I’ve been listening to her great music for nearly 30 years! Such an underrated musical genius!

This kinda reminds me of certain types of fanatical worshippers of pop singers (nothing wrong with pop imo, when it's good music and may even carry out some very serious and useful messages), basically telling each other that they don't worship "right" and hard enough, and that some compliments could be stated with more passion.
Only, this isn't a contest, unless one is delusional enough to think it is.
Well, your statement isn't intense like that but the point that most ppl should be aware this is from 2023 did remind me of the usual "you're not a true fan if you don't know about this from day 1" sentiment. I mean, I recently saw videos with interviews of quite well known bands that released something a month ago or so, and had 500 views or less. Should I advertise and make a point about being the number 1 fan of those bands? (I am not, I like them and their music but I'll never be a fanatic, screaming and crying and being obsessed, even though I can still surely get excited about certain artists).

First of all, Ruth is 40, give or take. Secondly, these young people might have various ailments. Third, mind your words because many young people indeed drop dead, literally, in war zones for example. No need for condescending snark in any case.
Government is way too involved in murder... all over the world, we are seeing many young people between 16-28 drop dead like flies... at higher than-normal rates.
