  • As an emergency room medical scribe, I saw and learned A LOT! Shifts were at odd hours, we saw 20+ patients per shift, and I got to see a lot of ins and outs of healthcare. This is Part 2 of a two-part series all about my scribing experience in college.
Today's video discusses what a typical shift looked like, a few of the lessons I learned about medicine and healthcare while working as a scribe, and ultimately why I quite working part-time as a scribe.

It's great for med school due to learning medical terms, rx, labs, and procedures. Pay sucks but a great learning tool.

Hey! I’m a pre med student that is also considering doing something in the engineering field and was wondering if you could speak on your experience doing engineering classes along with pre med classes and also what helped you decide between the two ?

Did the company you scribed for make you commit to a year? I'm looking into it and they want a 1 year full time commitment. Seems unreasonable with school as well. Curious if you were penalized in anyway for quitting.

It is such a tough job even for a virtual scribe and pay is as low as peanuts.
