Because the chair was turned so she knew they could’ve done a body switch but the cup was in front of her the whole time

@@sergioabrb That's not how it's done. Early in the clip you can see when he's holding the cup, both sides say #1 Mom at 0:18 and 0:24. It's only once she's handling it later does it say #1 Dad on the side we're looking at. I think there was either a sleight of hand switch off camera or some kind of alteration by putting it behind that wooden box.

The reason why she was more concerned with the cup was because she knew it was possible Michael did a body switch but she was positive the cup wasn't messed with, hence questioning her sanity at the end. 😄

anyways some timestamps to think about:
0:14 the full room - so pretty sure everyone saying he came from under* the desk should be saying behind** the desk [wall]? like theres a small door back there connecting the other side of the wall [that'd be much faster than coming from under..]
0:14 and 0:25 you can see michael turn it with handle facing left and handle facing right; she can see both sides will say mom not dad. so I don't think its a single different sided cup, but that michael or the assistant switched the cups
michael has an opportunity to switch it offscreen at 0:35-0:40 but idk he picks it up a 2nd time 0:40, so I think at 0:55 his accomplice picks it up as well /is off screen and doesn't drink it? so I think she switched it, either way at 1:01 is the confirmed switch
ANYWAYS love that he just sits right on down in the chair lol wonder how big the space was for the switch like if she crawled underneath him as he reversed back into the chair... he leaves the room at 0:52 and switches/reenters at 1:10 [18 seconds] and she leaves at 1:10 and comes back in 1:33 [23 seconds], so if theres no time gaps with splicing the video thats a FAST change whether they have clothes under/crew helping them out
LASTLY idk why everyone calls him out for being fake... magicians do ILLUSIONS not magic ALL THE TIME! LIVE! so to think him, a magician, having a whole room/scenario set up + a whole tv network/crew behind him can't pull off an illusion recorded is really unreasonable. If you can do it live on stage, you can definitely do it with cooperation of a fry's or bank or grocery store... its just another stage. Also theres no guarantee it works every time a shot can be recorded multiple times even if it succeeds to get the best reactions so just let it go. none of it is out of reason, if he wanted to fake things he could go MUCH MORE grand and amazing tricks with super over the top reactions.

Yes, it is 2 different mugs but they are switched very early on. That is why there is stuff on the desk to obstruct the interviewees view of the #1 DAD cup while the woman interviewer is still sitting there.

No it doesn't. If you look @ 0:44 you can just about work out the 2 M's on each side of the cup. The switch takes place somewhere between 0:55 and 1:00. You can hear the lady put the cup back on the desk about 0:58. It's just off camera the part where she switches, that part is quite simple to be fair.
Other parts of the vieo clearly show him showing the mark both sides of the mug. For example 0:17 to 0:24 and again from 1:52 to 1:54.
At 0:14 you can see it says Mom on both sides. Even if you can't tell on the back side, it's still definitely not "dad"

The cup is simple to explain. After 1 min, you can clearly see it says no1 dad on the other side and no1 mum facing the lady. so he just turns it. As for the people, they obviously have a simple switch off camera using the large chair as a obstruction of view from the subject. Behind the chair there is some sort of secret place to hide like a trap door.
