  • I Installed TWO Irrigation Systems The HARDEST Lawn Renovation I Have EVER Done!
    Check out the Irrigreen system for yourself - design.irrigre...
    I went with the Irrigreen irrigation system for a couple reasons
    1 - It's VERY cool technology and I love technology!
    2 - To save a ton of water
    3 - To be able to water as perfectly as I possibly can
    This has been the hardest lawn renovation I have ever done before. The work itself wasn't that hard but the heat index was absolutely BRUTAL! I can not get over how hot it was. I installed two irrigation systems. One is a "makeshift" or "temporary" system just to water the seed. I will use the irrigreen exclusively once the Blue Heat KBG is up and running. I did not want to take a chance on the irrigreen system moving my seed around due to the very heavy water drops the irrigreen produces.

    It's been a long time coming for tech like this to be introduced to the home owner. I appreciate videos like this - you show us something new and cool, something we might actually be interested in, but not overly pushy or trying to sell the product. Keep it up!

    Pete, not a huge deal but this video only has left channel audio. Reno is taking shape man. That sprinkler is amazing. Wish I would have that so I'm not watering the road driveway. That can also get that little space that never gets water by the mailbox.

    I've always installed sprinklers before fine grading. That way any rocks that you dig up can be re-burried. Compact the trench, leave flex pipe exposed and fine grade away. Then once grade is perfect you can dig out the flex pipe and install the heads to grade. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Looks like a solid piping install.

    Another great video and can't wait to see the finished results. Fascinating irrigation system. One thing I have to say though is you need to work on the microphone placement or check the settings / Audio portion of the video editing. All the audio from your mic only plays in the left earpiece/speaker. Other than that still great content and thanks for taking the time to share and inform.

  • @csmlawnandlandscape7619

    Awesome work!!! I agree 100 percent with Jeffrey, you have to be one of the hardest working guys I know. I was glad to see the trencher, because at first I thought you were digging the irrigation in with that trenching shovel. LOL!!! I will say, I know the feeling of working in 100 degree days and having to change clothes or take a shower a couple times a day. At one point last week, my plants were all wet and I thought I spilt my gallon of drinking water on me that I carry in my truck, but it was all sweat. Pants were soaked, shirt and my hat. I'm glad we are heading into the cooler months, because August here in Maryland was brutal with the heat and heavy rain (plus the tornado here in Annapolis and Edgewater). I can't wait to see the complete irrigation video install. Have a great day!!!

    I have an acre lot here in Texas and the thought of irrigating the entire acre always scared me due to cost of the system and then the monthly water bill. I heard of this system a week or so again and now you’re installing it. I think this is a more viable option for me then expanding my current system and changing all the heads to Hunter MP Rotators. Keep up the great videos!

  • @dus10dnd
    @dus10dnd Před 2 lety

    A ton of the value in Irrigreen is reduced costs through less materials and less work because less trenching required. Impressive the amount of work and dedication, but it would probably be great to just have a temporary above ground system... maybe some staking to keep the hoses off of the ground, or something. Regardless, I am hoping you have great results. I love watching your videos.
    Oh, and on the Irrigreen... the square system is super cool, however, hexagonal pattern would likely be better for larger yards. You would end up needing fewer Irrigreen boxes because it will be closer to the maximum throw at more times, but still eliminate the overlap of a completely circular pattern.

    orifice and either tuck it inside the main housing or secure it so it can be removed later. Put that over the bottom jet or bottom two and it’ll be a little lighter if a mist. Might try it. Let me know what you think

      Doesn’t create dips. When you program the shape it’s obviously spraying in one direction for much longer than it would while it’s running a cycle. It’s definitely gonna create a puddle when you set it up because you’re gonna be playing with the tech. Trust me, I reprogrammed mine several times the first week just showing the neighbors 😂
