I agree that it is software, but other than risking your life, the effort that goes in to this, and the challenge and risks taken is just really as much as the strategy and risks in the normal F1 calendar.
Ok I will bow down and admit that I am a casual player, so yes, I am no expert, but I don't think it is just a game.

I would someday like to sit in the stands and support Jarno Opmeer in F1.
Unfortunately he has no plans to return to real life Formula scene due to lack of funding and sponsorship. That's the reason he went from competing in Formula 3 to F1 esports. That doesn't take anything away from his beastly performances on F1 2020 though. Man has won literally every trophy on this game🙏
