This video doesn't highlight enough how epic the chapter with Screwball was.
At the last minutes, he was ready to give up. He's never done a proper web swing before, but now he has to do it while on top of a moving train several feet high up in order to even try saving people. He realized it was impossible and that he could easily slip and die. He was crying while apologizing to people.
He stood up and walked back, saying he's scared and not a real super hero anyway. But then he took steps forward and started running. The chapter ended with a page spread of him jumping and doing the iconic web swing pose while saying "But I'll still try my best!"
Now that was peak Spider-man. This series deserved a proper international release. Whoever decided to translate it only after getting it cancelled deserves to be fired.

i love this story, its a unique take on an iconic superhero journey yet it brought something fresh to the table
so glad i got a copy for xmas the past month and it being my very first manga
I hope Peter Parker, creates a suit with a enhanced superhuman ability for Yu. So that he can become a superhero like Spiderman. Like Captain America, he has a heart of a hero.

because of this spiderman fake red comic, I was inspired to create various Spiderman characters. The one I developed the most was fake Spiderman. He was originally just an ordinary person who didn't have a name, but one day he found a Spiderman costume and a web shooter in the trash. He then saved a little girl from fire after that he decided to become Spiderman even though he didn't have any powers but his principle was a bit deviant, namely that a hero must kill so that the world is better

They did a really good job of keeping this story packaged and rolled up into one vs trying to make 1000 issues of it. Although anyone can wear the suit, the kid was only going to live for so long since he was just a normal teenager fighting shit that would kill a normal human in one hit! It makes sense that after he did all these incredible feats that now he gets to enjoy being a kid again knowing that his Hero is out there saving the day.
