I’d recommend 50% if you have 20% around and 70% if you have 5% all around. 70% doesn’t make any difference unless you have limo all around. Plus 70% doesn’t give you that feel of having tint inside the cab.
i have 20% all the way around, how much darker would 50% make it? I don’t want it to be blacked out, just a little bit darker. I also have a dark grey interior.
If you go with a 70% go with the highest quality tint film possible to help minimize the heat but 30% windshield is always best that’s what I have with 30% on driver passenger windows and the rear windows 10% the heat in the truck is not as much as it would be with a truck only having factory tint And I don’t do a lot of night driving so cops don’t care
I think you’re more likely to be pulled over for windshield tint during the day cause at night you can kind of get the benefit of the doubt. In non well lit areas you cant see very into a car through the windshield even if its not tinted, so 50% is probably the less risky shade to use, you can still tell it’s tinted specially from far but as you get closer you get to see in, unlike 35%
My wife got pulled over for speeding when we were younger and she started crying and told the cop “but I just got a ticket for speeding” and he just gave her the window tint ticket.
Tint Pro's did LLumar Air 80 on my windshield. Love it, doesn't really darken the windshield much at all but the heat rejection is great, don't even need a sunshade when parked.
I got 50 ceramic on my windshield, I gotta get it removed under warranty. It's only 2 1/2 weeks old. There's some smudges and an air bubble. Also my passanger front window and big back window has carbon 35 has bubbles and they are replacing them as well. I was curious how tough it was going to be for them to remove it. This company is on CZcams and does a ton of videos. If u have ever looked up window tinting u definitely have come across them. I don't wanna put them out there, they seem like really good guys and they deserve a chance to make it right. That's how u really define a good company, it's ok to make mistakes, it's how u fix them is what really make a great company.
Couldn't you get into more trouble eventually if you get pulled over multiple times and a cop notices you still haven't corrected the previous violations? I know some states don't do fix it tickets for tint but still I would think it would only get worse if you keep it on.
Love the truck. But just to touch on your comment on the roofs sun exposure, you said it gets the most exposure, so why not just wrap it as you did the hood. The hood gets as much exposure as the roof, so why not just wrap it to protect the vehicles true paint? I mean you might as well just wrap it. Also for the windshield tint, you could still do the visor strip at the top of the windshield. Still looks good and useful.

i have 40% with a 5% strip on the top 11", the 5% on the top gives an optical illusion that the windshield isnt even tinted. I've been pulled over plenty of times and no cop ever mentioned it

Everyone else on youtube has to use various heating methods to be sure to get the glue with the tint, and it takes them quite some time to complete the task. But you peel yours off like a magic sticker in seconds. Someone is going to need to explain this one to me.
On my 2018 Sorento I put 50% tint on my windshield but my factory windshield at the bottom corner says “TRANSP> 75%" so it looks like it's darker than 50%

Do glossy black on the pillars. Leave the carbon fiber for inside the truck.

It’s called officer discretion when it comes to certain citations. I’m a Police Officer in Florida and it is illegal to have tinted windshield.
