Good to hear she’s holding up! If I didn’t find such a steal of a deal on my used 72” Matco 4s, your videos would have had me 100% sold on a tool vault
The dotted back is actually nice if you had electronics that you left on overnight inside the hutch, it wont heat up inside like I have heard some people complain about. I hope you been doing good Ed!
@@802dieselcrew8 yeah it's a 99 5sp 9in lift with 38s, 110k mi, had 40s on it but the it made the gears to tall for around town driving, 38s are tolerable
I’ve got that same box in a 56” version with the large side locker. I’ve had some of the exact same complaints as yours. The work surface is ferrous metal which is nice because magnets can be used which I do for holding paperwork down. It does dent easy though. After a couple dents I’ve learned to baby it a bit more. -A few things I wish it had was the power drawer like some of the newer boxes have. -Also the hutch height is probably one of my biggest complaints. Really wish it was about 3” higher. I’m 5’11” for reference. If your 3” shorter then me it will probably be perfect for you. -I also wish it had built in lights or lights made specifically for the box.
Hey I was doing some research on the Tool Vaults, I am thinking about getting one. I assume you are in VT because of the 802. I live in VT as well. Thanks for doing reviews on these boxes 👍
Extend a wrench I first seen thise in 07 Cornywell guy carried them worked great at times for busting caliper bolts on meritor and knorr but there where time not even that worked sonthe good ole hot wrench came in to play
Any recommendations for someone interested into getting into the field? How large of sockets in 1/2 should I get to start? And 3/4 if thats even needed at first. Like the green box looks badass.
Honestly depends on what your working on. I bought my Williams 3/4 set off Amazon for $199 and it goes to 2". I would by tekton for all other sockets for a cheaper alternative with a good return policy. 1/2 stuff I have 3/8 - 1 1/2. Amazon has really affordable stuff that is unusual just rebranded like OEM tools, EZ red, Lang, OTC, and Irwin.
Wow suppressing to see u post, I haven't seen a video from u where CZcams suggested in over a yr. Kinda forgot about u. I'll check u out now I see u have som recent videos

Which 2 contraptions exactly?
Spline Engine barring tool and Stud remover?
Waiting for more vids Dude.

Where did u get that powerstrip and does it have usb charging port
Wow a fellow Vermonter. When I saw (802) in the name I knew immediately this was a Vermont based channel.
It has a power port in a cabinet ?
Hello Eddie looks amazing brother did u see the box i picked up
I'll check it out brother.
How's the box doing here in 2023? Would you still recommend it today?
How tall are you and do you have to duck when doing anything in the hutch?
5'9 probably 5'11 or so with boots and my standing mat.
How do you like those lista drawers next to your box?
The vidmar style drawers next to my box are really tough and work great.
Still holding up good?
What’s your height looks like you don’t have to squat to be in that hutch like most box and hutch set ups
I remember when you got this👍🏼 had a beard and were still doing the school stuff with cat right?
Yes sir, now full time at cat.
802 Diesel Crew that’s awesome bud yeah I started in power plant work as a valve mechanic partially cause of some of your stuff seemed cool 👍🏼
Where did you get the pry bar clip holders?
Right off Amazon, they are called tool clips bi believe.n
What’s the part number for the small yellow cases
From cat I believe its 4C-4789, I haven't ordered one for awhile. I looked it up and it matches mine.
