@@BoxingLegends2024 I have no idea what he did I was a kid back then. So I'm not going to assume anything. To my knowledge he was never proven guilty and I assume the court ruled him innocent. Who am I to say otherwise? Who are you to say otherwise? Women can lie. Men can do bad things. Both are possible so it's innocent until proven guilty. If that's what you believe that's fine but you can't simply treat your personal belief as fact. And either way it doesn't take away his accomplishments on the court that's just how it is. No matter how successful you become in life it’s always good to remain humble, who knows what it could’ve done for this man’s career if Kobe would’ve gotten off his high horse and had some kind of dialogue with him. I actually heard Kobe as human being was an amazing person but on the court he switch gears, almost like a different personality. He took his job serious and only got along with like minded individuals on the court. I see absolutely nothing wrong with being like that, why get along with a player that doesn’t work on his game and not trying to help you win? Kobe had big goals and he believed in hard work, that’s what part of what started the feud with shaq. He called shaq lazy, so it’s not like Kobe was biased he was just obsessed and cursed by the game of basketball.

This a true story but *false* narrative.
If you're an actual Laker fan and were alive during that time, you and everybody else knew that Smush Parker was a straight up, cocky, immature, and entitled player. He had an *attitude* problem, his *work ethic* was trash, and he *never respected* the Lakers organization.
Hell, even Kobe respected *Kwame Brown* (who was notoriously bad), years later saying "Kwame's my man." Kwame actually put in the work despite not being as skilled.
Smush was a young, lazy, and arrogant player who eventually went to go play overseas in China, after having been *waived* by numerous NBA teams.
This is a basketball competition, not "be the best human-being" competition.
Side-note: Tim Duncan also *never spoke to Tony Parker his entire rookie year* until he proved himself.
