It pains everytime they appreciate ARR for this song and not Harris Jayaraj. I understand the confusion, as the Hindi version of this movie was music composed by ARR. But it still pains when they talk about quality of sound as though ARR is the only musician from India. Harris was equally memorable musician during early 2000s. Hope they do the research right before giving credits to some random artists next time.
They need to apologise ..... issue is they are doing zero research.....it's so simple to google
Harris sounding is very unique... It's better AR. Composition wise AR is better, but when it comes to sounding Harris is the King..

@korbin and @rick - I think you were misguided or understood wrongly - the music director for this song is Harris Jayaraj ( you have reacted to few of his compositions) the Hindi version is the remake of Tamil movie Ghazini and the ARR is the music director for the Hindi movie. This Tamil song is composed by Harris Jayaraj

2:46 The director for both the movies are same. Hindi is the remake of the Tamil original but Tamil was not a remake but just inspiration from Memento (2000) and the 1951 film Happy Go Lovely. Technically not an exact usual remake with the additional Indian things.
This is not at all ARR! He rarely used / uses a clarinet. I feel the music which Harris jayaraj produces cannot be predicted. All his songs are different and he is an amazing music director.

You guys should probably listen to the whole bgm composition from this movie. Its really really good. Even listening to the score brings back the whole emotion of the movie. Still my most favourite movie to date. Been watching this movie atleast once every 2 or 3 months since I was five. So I've probably watched it like a 100 times and the bgm is still so encapsulating and immersive. The tamil Ghajini bgm by Harris Jayaraj is too good to pass off

Sorry guys that was composed by Harris Jayraj if not mistaken. Correct me if I am wrong. A R Rahman is excellent But we do have other composers that are equally good. Like G V Prakash and Anirudh and a lot others. The hindi version of Gajini was remade into hindi Gajini with Amir Khan. Asin played the female role again.
