It will be good if they just stop with the reaction. I dont want them to review any classic tamil movie and give a bad review. They watch a movie with a pre-concieved notion and give a bad review just because they couldnt cluturaly allign to the movie or the movie didnt deliver what they pre-concieved.

This is a 2008 film. Quoting from Wiki " Subramaniapuram is a 2008 Indian Tamil-language crime drama film produced, written, and directed by Sasikumar. The low-budget film received critical acclaim for its original script, expert direction, screenplay, editing, fresh music, accurate sets and costumes to resurrect Madurai from the 1980s. ....... The movie was dubbed into Malayalam under the same name and remade in Kannada in 2012 as Prem Adda. Director Anurag Kashyap had revealed twice that this film was the inspiration for his Gangs of Wasseypur series - once in 2010 and once on the 10th anniversary of this film. "

And yes, Anurag Kashyap was truly inspired by this film and made Gangs... This movie was also shot in a Film Camera because of the period it is set in...It's set in the 80's in Madurai, Tamilnadu. You can know how unique the people's lifestyle was in that era in India. Great story...It clearly shows the ugly truth of Hatred and discrimination within the people and what it does to others.
