this bear has forced me to evolve as a bear trapper. Yogi the bear is smarter than your average bear. or at least very lucky!

Why do we harvest bears?
How’s the meat?
For the meat, fat and fur. And dogs get the boiled bones. The meat texture is similar to pork and flavor depends on the bear and what it's been eating. Salmon river bears taste fishy and not preferred by most, but these bears are wild labrador bears which are mostly vegetarian and eating berries. This time of year there poop consists of almost entirely blue berries. So the meat will be more like a sweet pork. The fat is virtually tasteless and make an amazing rendered oil that is great for cookimg, waterproofing leather, and helps heal things like dry skin condistions. Ive turned it into beard oil before.
