In this clip, Jason Lee spoke about an incident that happened when he was 7, where he was lured into a bathroom by a man who abused him. Jason stated that the most disappointing part of the situation was when his mother didn’t believe him and he responded to questions about his sexual identity. Jason explained that he sees himself as a survivor of abuse, and he added that he’s turned his trauma into power. Jason then spoke about being attracted to girls when he was a kid, and he added that he was abused for a third time by a 16-year-old babysitter. - Zábava
My cousin was a therapist from 1984 until retiring recently. And he told me *almost* every single gay male that he came across was exposed to it as a child. Like 9 out of every 10.

When my dad's not present, my little brother complains that we make him come into the women's/family bathroom cuz he feels he's a big boy (he just turned 9). I was starting to think I may be a bit paranoid but this just makes me feel like we're doing the right thing. People can be so mean.

I, myself was molested; and personally believe it had a big part of me being gay. I feel as if I didn't get the motherly love I needed as a child. I truly loved my mom(deceased), but she didn't know how to express love. I think the guy who molested me; was that childs(me) first intimacy experience. My mom abused me physically, mentally and verbally. Not to mention I was also shy and timid, and being with that guy was done in hiding. Btw he was my mom's best friend son 18yrs old, I was about 7 yrs old. I have had sexual experiences with females, but have an eye for men; that strangely enough are very similar in body structure as my molester. Maybe I would have been gay anyways, but I definitely believe that the abuse from my mother and the molestation played a huge part.
P.s. me and my Mom became very close in her later years. And I also believe that there could be a number of reasons a person becomes gay. True! not all gay people were molested...

That's one of the major issues in the black community because the parents don't take action immediately, they rather stay in denial, and it's time for that cycle to be broken. Thankfully, my mom didn't have me go to anyone's home for sleepovers, not even family members.

In 2014 I started praying and staying away from the gay scene because I didn't feel like it was right for me and I knew I wanted a traditional family one day. I met my husband that year, have 3 children and I haven't been with or wanted to be with a woman since 2014.
