    Damn. I miss old vibe of for honor. Wish they would've stuck with just the three factions and made them team based like it was before release. Felt more immersive, which is personally something I like.

      attacks would be too easy to dodge and parry especially with players getting better over time .. nothing would connect those attacks are really slow and predictable it’d be impossible to kill somebody with parrying and deflects as players develop and learn to parry over time

      @@mkelly1290 Yeah I wasn't referring to the game mechanics. I meant the vibe as in it felt like knights vs Vikings vs Samurai and a sense of epic battles. Of course there are things I don't like about the current state of the game in terms of the fighting mechanics but gameplay in the trailer footage is definitely way too slow. The amount of raw heavies that landed was pretty funny tbh lol

    Remember the times, before the Wu lin where u had cool looking short animation by attacking minions. Sometimes on some characters I still miss it, before every thing did go straight mainstream with a lot of flashy sparkling effects. Good old days

      I mean, S1 and S2 almost have seen For Honor crash and burn because of how terrible connection was and how of an unbalanced mess it was.
      Remember Centurion Infinite combo that would stunlock you ? Or when everyone playing Warlord was building themselves with vengeance gear ? It would litterally take two hits to build it then the Warlord would just headbutt you and you would fall over on your ass.

      If you truly play the beta and the first year of For Honor how can it be your best time ever? I mean in that time whether you like the game or not everyone face the same big issue from the server you literally disconnect from the match every 5 minute and "rarely" finish even one single match, in term of multiplayer game that the purpose is to let the player play with other I can said that the game is completely fail to serve it purpose for quite a long time.

      You can always go back to the completely abandoned campaign and enjoy not only minion kill animations but also pre-CCU and pre-rework movesets of all characters in it. It's a fun way to reminisce

      @@spidertech4014 real medieval weapons are balanced. However, most modern techniques relay on thrusts rather than slashes, especially against armoured opponents. I would personally love to see a warden half sword into a samurai's armour rather than using huge swings.

    Yall remember when character's attacks used to have weight? when warden blocked attacks the enemies weapons would stall on impact and show the actual impact having it's own animation as warden responded with a bit of visible resistance? Too bad that was removed when more heros were added to the roster. Too many animation types as it be.

      When the game first came out the widget for combat was removed in online play for the first few days. You only got a flashing indication of an incoming attack. You had to judge part/dodge time on your own. That was the best Valentine’s Day I ever had. FH launch night was awesome 🤩

      It looks cool but you'd quickly notice how it becomes a turtle meta all over again because there's no good openers and the attacks are so slow not a single living soul will get hit by it. That's actually how the game felt when it first got released and in beta aswell. Don't get me wrong there's still bad things about today's For Honor but anything is better than going back to turtle meta

    Wardens sword hit sound is so good. I really hate Wardens sound in the game, but in the Alpha it sounds so clean and "real".

    I would love a gamemode where its a 4v4v4 with every team being a random faction and have a setting to do single picks

      I just want a Ground War mode, 5v5 double health, no feats. And a conquest mode 8v8 double health feats and pick ups, but like Battlefield were it's similar to Breach but ticket based and they count down instead of going up like Dominion.

    The beta was similar to this, they just changed a good portion of it but it still felt clunkier and there were slightly different animations but now it’s like everything is supposed to be easier in a way and a lot more simple so that new players aren’t thrown off by it but honestly the way it used to be should have stayed cause it made the game more cinematic and more realistic

    1 the graphics and gameplay looked awesome, But it looked a little slow. To add speed maybe add a group fight and you change target more than once to add a sense of pressure.

    I like the vibe it gives off especially the teams being from the same faction yet seeing how slow and how easy it is to react to most things makes me see how far we’ve come gameplay wise
    Because if for honor was released like this the defensive meta would’ve been far worse

    Things that should still be in the game: -colour coded teams
    -minion killing animations
    Things that shouldn’t be in the game:
    -Effects (signatures, emotes, execution, idol)
    -The Pirate (has a gun) **I know not all the factions would’ve necessarily existed at the same time, but there definitely wouldn’t be flintlock pistols*

    This looks significantly better than the current state of the game. It's smooth, even paced but not too slow or fast, animations are satisfying and the visuals are clean. I hate the way the game is now.

    Loved early stage for honor and still love it today. I miss the minion kill animations. I love crazy it has been this long and I still enjoy the game. Looking forward to what they will keep bringing into the game. Hopefully big team clashes soon

      The game became a staring contest when it was this slow. If you threw out a move, you'd get parried or countered.

      @@somebody7185 oh yes, when the game released, each gear piece had three different stats that you could even out or fully build one. Game had a COMPLETELY different Meta and playstyle. I had to rebuild my Lawbringer three times. As they've changed gear three times since release. The ORIGINAL OG Stats were: Throw distance, Revenge Mode Attack, and Revenge Gain by Injury, Feat Cooldown Reduction, Revenge Mode defense, and Revenge Gain by Defense, ATTACK, DEFENSE, and Stamina cost reduction (so good), Block Damage Resistance, Revive Speed, and Stamina Regen, Execution Health Regen, Block Damage, and SPRINT SPEED (so good on The Law), Debuff Resistance, REVENGE MODE DURATION (so good), and Exhaustion Recovery. Lawbringer could also shove after any successful Block, had 15 extra HP compared to other characters, and I think he could impale charge on a counter guard break.

      @@somebody7185 He was, I've been playing him since Full Game release, (he wasn't in beta) I get why the gear had to be redone, the perks are better for newer players coming into the game, but they could've made some of the old stats universal perks on all characters.

    Tbh this looks like Y1 launch for honor just much slower animations which makes the game look better but it be too easy.
    Also the indicators are different but over all its basically what we got.
    The warden second light tho is NICE like he actually stabs

    Well... they did, For Honor has just changed loads since release. I do dearly miss the early days of For Honor but old For Honor War certainly flawed. The spark I once saw in this game has passed. The over the top fantasy based characters and silly persona killed this game. Such potential. Such a shame. 1000+ hours later I don't regret a single one. But what could have been is without a doubt something that could have been great

    I miss the old for honor. I used to binge this game so hard when it just came out as a lawbringer main, I stuck around for another year or two and eventually quit when warmonger came out, even at that time I was playing on and off. Just give me old fh back…

    Visually great looking, gameplay looks like hot garbage and the UI is intrusive as all hell. It's the kind of thing that looks impressive until you actually get your hands on it.
    This version of the game, if we got to play it, would've probably had more exploits than even launch For Honor.

    For Honor kinda went the same direction of Siege. Less focused on the original concept/source material, leaning into more fantastical themes in an effort to draw in a larger crowd. We really should've seen the signs of where it was headed once they added a ninja who can teleport in a cloud of smoke when they dodge.
    But still, For Honor year 1 and the first time launch of Marching Fire was it's peak. The Campaign is still like a time capsule, it's great.

    The hud when it makes a hit seems like a better indicator than a red mark, it makes it more noticable when you are low on health and points to an actual direction like saying "HEY, STUPID, OVER HERE"

    That damage is insane! The game is a lot better now, but a ton of animations need polishing. Wish they'd take just one big update to work on that.

    I forgot Ubisoft liked to reuse stuff. The sound effects from Orochi’s swords on this footage gave me Vietnam flashbacks to Assassin’s Creed.
