fun fact
a reporter who interviewed Simo HÀyhÀ asked him "what did you feel when you shot all these people?" his answer was "the recoil"
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh double roast
Not confirmed btw
Gamer : Oh my god i hate this recoil!
Simo HÀyhÀ : First time?
@@DiaHabas it might not be true but still a funny story đ
@@DiaHabas it is confirmed interview in finland.
What's so crazy about Simo Hayha is that he never used a scope unlike most of the other entries on this list did. He used strictly iron sights. He did this to avoid fogging up the scope lenses and to avoid the glint giving away his position.
And also he put snow in his mouth to make his breath colder so it wont get foggy and show his place
@@laurinieminen8438 won't that only make more fog coming out from his mouth? just asking

Simo is such a legend nobody even disagrees about him being number 1 he is the best by far
And was extremely humble person in life.
I'd put Carlos Hathcock right behind him.

The video didnât mention just how major Simo Hayhaâs wounding was; he took an explosive bullet to the face and survived after losing his upper jaw, part of his lower jaw and part of his left cheek.
He wouldâve likely continued fighting if he were allowed to after his injury
This video is about the top 10 deadliest snipers, not him
Wow thatâs nuts. Thanks for the info.

wtf i just randomly found ur comment
Two common threads: 1. Growing up in isolated rural areas and hunting is common to most of these snipers. 2. The fight within the fight. Minorities had to fight to join the fight.
Bro i feel bad for these animals everyone was killing them for fun
I never once went hunting before becoming one. Actually I was never interested in being one. I just wanted to jump out of planes lol. I was just in the right place at the right time when I met General Schwarzkopf and he basically talked this 19yr old into trying it out. Only 2 things I had to compare to sniping was playing space invaders and POI on the mother ship that came across the top of the screen ever so often. My second training, although I didn't give the military any thought at the time was playing CO2 war in the woods. I was in Jr, and I hung out with high schoolers, particularly a family with all boys (6 brothers) 2 of the brothers were military, Rick and John. Rick was a Ranger with mad skills and when he'd come home (which wasn't often), we all went to the woods and shot at each with CO2 guns. Rick taught me ALOT especially about being deadly, but not seen or heard. So that's my little story of my experience prior to ghilling up.
I met Simo HÀyhÀ once. We talked.. not about the war, as he was like my both grandfathers, who did not talk about war. I naturally knew who he was, injury was a giveaway and all knew of him. He did say the same thing as my grandfathers... "pray that you never have to experience war"
My father was an 19 year old bombardier in WW2 B-17; he flew 24 missions from D-Day to the Battle of the Bulge, shot down on 24 Dec. 1944. He would never talk about the war until he was 90; he then described a few of his experiences. I asked him his most important lessons he learned from his experiences: âMan is amazingly capable of adapting to any situation.â âIt always amazed me how inhumane and savage men can be!â He too felt war was horrible and should be avoided.
I believe that soldiers who refuse to speak about their experience of war, are either selfish, cowardly, or have a twisted moral compass. No one is asking soldiers to boast, but they have a duty to speak as truthful witnesses to what they have experienced.
@@samy7013 im sorry but you have clearly never had a single traumatic experience in your entire life or you would know the pain of reliving those memories and the fact that you feel entitled to their experience while calling those that refuse to share the most painful memories of their life selfish cowardly or twisted clearly shows a distinct lack of empathy
LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sadly Simo died about a year before I was born.
I met Genghis khan once. He told me Bing Chilling

Well deserved Place #1 in my Opinion
Mr. Simo HÀyhÀ was one of an example to show that surrender is not an option and my generation is always grateful of that what he and fellow Finns did to protect the country of Finland. And STILLLL from Nordic; 105 years independent.
I wish there was a movie about him honestly.

What about Carlos Hathcock. So, he hadn't killed as many of the people as the other members you have mentioned. But, what about bravery, integrity, the willingness to evade and live.. Surrounded by enemy troops with no way out. But, his willingness to live. He did the impossible. He deserved a mention. That's all I am saying.
Yeah he shot through a snipers scope with out scratching it
That's my thoughts exactly.
