I use a piece of vacuum hose on the valve stem and chuck it into a drill. Run it back and forth in short bursts for about 20 seconds total on each one. The hose is pretty forgiving so it won’t apply too much pressure

Pro tip: Zip tie a magnet to the socket for removing the springs. When the keepers come loose, they will stay inside the socket. Great if the head is still on the lower end
Florida water is super hard water (nothing to do with head services). I recommend using some filtration before you toss it in the radiators. It will cause an accumulation of calcium and degrade parts of the cooling system much faster. You could use a Brita filter if you want to do it on the cheap.

It's easier, but the gains are negligible either way.
Same here been doing it for 20+ year's now and still haven't found anything that works any better than the hose
