Being a West Ham fan. I was always told of his brilliance.
Although with a bit of honest realism I was scared that us West Ham fans might have had ‘claret and blue’ spectacles on.
After watching this and other videos. Moore really was a cut above the rest. Immaculate player, immaculate defender, and above all an immaculate person.
I am proud to support West Ham and England because of Bobby Moore.
If you could choose to become a player it should be Moore.

Saw Bobby play a few times live when I was a kid.
Met the great man personally in Idle near Bradford of all places whilst he was involved with Birds Eye, promoting the 1986 England World Cup team. I was a bit tongue tied but got his autograph in my pocket diary.
Bobby was to defending ,what George Best was to attacking ,in the era when chopper Harris and Norman hunter was just a stopper, Bobby Moore was an artist, I was eight when England won the world cup, And Bobby Moore was Captain marvel, 🤔🙊🙉🙈🕊️🕊️🕊️

There is no substitute for class, you can only watch in awe of his ability to read the game his timing and composure. I met the man and shook his hand At Wembley many years ago as I was playing during the halftime entertainment for the play off finals. I consider myself blessed. I don’t blow smoke up peoples arses either, genuinely one of the proudest moments in my life

He was so in control, brilliant, truly one of the best , great man great talent.
Something I got from watching this video was that none of the players he challenged reacted in any way other than to either get on with the game or acknowledge the quality challenge. Can you imagine some of today's absolute princesses being on the receiving end of Moore's solid but totally fair tackles? The rolling. The screaming. The waving a hand around for their trainer. Blokes of Moore's era watching the modern game must wonder what happened.
